A new chapter begins! 🗳️

Last May 26, 2026, our organization successfully conducted its General Meeting and Election for the new set of officers. Thank you to everyone who participated, shared their voices, and helped shape the future of our organization.

Congratulations to the newly elected officers! May your leadership inspire growth, unity, and excellence for the upcoming academic year.

Together, we lead. Together, we achieve.

UPDATE 📣

Last March 21, 2026, at General Roxas Elementary School in Dulag, Leyte, the BEO with the initiative of the JJC successfully conducted the meaningful activity entitled “OPLAN BULIG: KAARAMAN PARA HA MGA KABATAAN: A Mini Library Project.” This initiative truly highlighted the importance of making reading materials accessible to children and encouraging them to develop a love for learning at an early age.

Library is not simply a want — it is a NEED, especially for our young readers whose minds are still growing, exploring, and dreaming. Books are powerful tools that help children discover knowledge, build confidence, strengthen imagination, and open doors to a brighter future. Through reading, children are given the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom and develop values and wisdom that can guide them throughout life.

As volunteers, our officers were grateful to become part of this worthwhile cause and to witness the smiles and excitement of the young readers during the activity. The volunteered officers of BEO were:

With pride, we congratulate Ms. Ellien Tamor, Ms. Joselita Celestial, Ms. Kyrah Shunem Simbajon, and Ms. Juviline Cabus for having their paper accepted at the International Student Research Congress (ISRC) 2026! 🎉

This marks a historic milestone for BLIS, as they are the first students from our program to present at an international research conference.

We are truly proud of you! 👏 May this achievement inspire more groundbreaking research presentations from the Library Science Unit.

A clear reminder that excellence in librarianship is not only about academics, but also about research and extension — essential pillars of our role as future librarians.

We proudly acknowledge the participation of our LNU BEO Adviser, Camille Rose D. Serante, and our LNU BEO Vice President, Ellien C. Tamor, in the 1st LIS Education Summit 2026 held at Bulacan State University E-Library.

With the theme, “Academic Leadership in LIS Education: Innovating Teaching, Research, and Community Engagement,” the summit served as an avenue for continuous learning, professional growth, and meaningful engagement in advancing the field of Library and Information Science.
