Show your support for your batchmates by reacting ❤️ to their photos. Please note that only reactions from real Facebook accounts will be considered valid. Reactions from dummy, fake, newly created, or suspicious accounts will be disqualified.

PAHAYAG NG UP TRISKELIONS TACLOBAN UNIT

Pahayag ng UP Triskelion Tacloban Unit sa Hatol ng RTC Branch 45 kina Frenchie Mae Cumpio at Marielle “Maye" Domequil.

Ngayong Enero 22, 2026, ang hustisya sa ating bansa ay muling dumaan sa isang madilim na kabanata. Sa kabila ng anim na taong paghihintay para sa katotohanan, isang baluktot na hatol ang iginawad ng Regional Trial Court Branch 45 sa ilalim ni Judge Georgina Perez laban sa ating mga kapwa iskolar ng bayan na sina Frenchie Mae Cumpio at Marielle "Maye" Domequil.

Bagamat kinikilala natin ang kanilang pagkaabswelto sa gawa-gawang kaso ng Illegal Possession of Firearms–isang malinaw na sampal sa mga nagtanim ng ebidensya at nagnanais dungisan ang kanilang dangal–mariin nating kinokondena ang iginawad na guilty verdict sa kasong Financing Terrorism. Ang hatol na ito ay hindi lamang kawalan ng katarungan para kina Frenchie at Maye; ito ay isang lantarang pag-atake sa malayang pamamahayag at sa karapatan ng bawat Pilipino na maglingkod sa masa nang walang takot.

Bilang mga Triskelion, at bilang mga mamamayang Pilipino, kami ay naninindigan sa prinsipyo ng pagpawi sa lahat ng anyo ng pang-aapi at paglabag sa karapatang pantao. Ang paghatol sa isang mamamahayag at isang lingkod-simbahan gamit ang mga huwad na basehan ay patunay ng isang sistemang ginagamit upang patahimikin ang mga kritikal na boses. Ang anim na taong ninakaw sa kanilang buhay ay sapat na; ang dagdag na sentensya ay isang malupit na biro sa ilalim ng isang gobyernong nangangako ng pagkakaisa ngunit naghahasik ng panunupil.

Hindi tayo magbubulag-bulagan. Ang laban nina Frenchie at Maye ay laban ng bawat Taclobanon at bawat Pilipinong naghahangad ng gobyernong may pananagutan. Sa lansangan man o sa loob ng pamantasan, ang UP Triskelion ay patuloy na lalaban para sa mga boses ng mga pinatatahimik.

From shared laughs to endless kwentuhan, colorful exchange gifts, and games that brought out everyone’s competitive (and makulit) side, the night was filled with good energy, love, joy, and hope. It was a celebration of brotherhood and sisterhood—of a year we didn’t just survive, but conquered together.

Guided by the principle of Fraternity for Others, the 𝐔𝐏 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭, 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐬, successfully carried out an outreach program at Northern Tacloban City National High School. 💛

Through the leadership of 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐲 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐉. 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐬 and 𝐋𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐌𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐂. 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨, and with the unwavering support of our UPTTU alumni and the residents, we were able to share nutritious meals, distribute school supplies, and conduct an Educational Talk on Self-Awareness to inspire and empower the students.🌱

This initiative reflects our collective commitment to service, solidarity, and nation-building. Maraming salamat to our partners, project heads, alumni, residents, and student participants who made this meaningful day possible. 🫶

As we celebrate our 44th Anniversary on September 24, 2025, this outreach stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of brotherhood & sisterhood, service, and nation-building that defines the Triskelions. 🎉✨
