GSO DC PERSONNEL GO THE EXTRA MILE: VOLUNTEERISM IN ACTION
August 8, 2026 | KSUβDagupan Campus
The spirit of service and volunteerism continues to shine among the GSO DC personnel of KSUβDagupan Campus, as employees extend their time, skills, and effort to help improve university facilities and ensure campus readiness.
Today, eight GSO personnelβLordan Ullibac, Elmer Damagon, Rolly Mamma, Frederick Bencan, Johnny Dulag, Rodel Waggawag, Virginia Cadamus, and Diasen Balicaoβ worked on several priority tasks, including the cutting and preparation of lumber for tables and chairs, plastering of the GSO Post, and preparation of classrooms for the Civil Service Commission (CSC) examination on August 9.
The lumber, valued at approximately β±500,000, was donated by DENRβCENRO Tabuk, while hardware materials for the plastering works were donated by JACAA Design and Construction.
Volunteerism Already Underway
The initiative builds on volunteer work undertaken during previous Saturdays by Joe Apayao, Arjay Bali, Frederick Bencan, and other GSO personnel, who assisted in the initial cutting of lumber, demolition of portions of walls in preparation for plastering, and patching of roof leakages in anticipation of the rainy season.
Meanwhile, Elmer Damagon, Carpenter, and Virginia Cadamus, Utility Worker, regularly report on Saturdays as part of the reporting terms stipulated in their respective contracts. Their services complement the volunteer efforts of other GSO personnel who extend assistance beyond their regular reporting schedules.
Building Facilities, Serving the Community
The continuing works will support the construction and improvement of the GSO Post/Cum Public Assistance and Complaint Desk (PACD), as well as other necessary repair and maintenance activities.
These improvements are expected to benefit fewer than 2,000 students and more than 80 university employees, providing them with safer, more functional, and more accessible campus facilities.
University President Dr. Joy Grace Doctor, through Campus Administrator Dr. Odette Pannogan, commended the personnel for their initiative and commitment to service.
βTheir efforts demonstrate that maintaining a university is not simply about facilitiesβit is about people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and work together to make things happen,β Dr. Pannogan said.
The continuing effort is a testament to the GSO DC personnelβs teamwork, dedication, and malasakitβdemonstrating that meaningful service goes beyond assigned tasks and contributes directly to the welfare of the university community.
To all GSO DC personnel and volunteers, thank you for your hard work and ever-ready support to KSUβDagupan Campus.

If you have found it or have any information about its whereabouts, please send me a message or turn it in to the SBO Officers.
Your honesty and help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! π
