You are not alone.
Depression is real, but so is help.
If you feel hopeless, please talk to someone. Reach out to your family, friends, barangay officials, or RHU.
Your life matters. Choose to stay. Choose to heal. 💚

EDITORIAL:

YOUR GOOD WILL BE REMEMBERED ONE DAY

There are times when you do what is right and nothing happens.
You speak up. You help. You protect someone. You do your job with integrity.
And then... silence. No thank you. No recognition. No reward.

It feels like your effort was written down, filed away, and forgotten.

But history, and life, has a way of turning the pages back.

THE DELAYED RECOGNITION
Someone does the right thing at work, in the barangay, in school, or in the community.
They report a problem that could have caused harm.
They help a family in secret. They stay late to finish what others left behind.

At that moment, nothing changes. No award. No applause.
The record shows it, but no one acts on it.
It’s easy to get discouraged and think, _“What’s the use of doing good?”_

THE DAY IT COMES BACK
Then comes the night when things don’t go as planned.
A leader can’t sleep. A meeting gets rescheduled. A review is done.
And in the middle of that, your name comes up.

_“What was done for this person?”_
The answer: _“Nothing yet.”_

And suddenly, the good you did that was delayed is no longer forgotten.
Sometimes, the very person who overlooked you — or even opposed you — ends up being the one to honor you.
Not because you asked, but because truth has a way of surfacing.

DO GOOD BECAUSE IT IS RIGHT
The lesson here is simple: Do good not because you expect a reward.
Do good because it is right.

Integrity is not a transaction. It’s a character.
You don’t help to be seen. You help because people need help.
You don’t speak up to be promoted. You speak up because silence would cost more.

And when you live that way, two things happen:
1. You keep your peace. You can sleep at night knowing you did what was right.
2. Your good is stored. It may not be rewarded today, but it is recorded. And one day, it will be remembered.

THE BOTTOM LINE
To every teacher, BHW, tanod, parent, student, and leader reading this:
Don’t quit doing good just because no one clapped.

The work you do in secret, the kindness no one saw, the fairness you chose when it was costly — it matters.

You may not see the result today. But your good will be remembered one day.

So keep planting. Keep serving. Keep choosing what is right.
Because in the end, character outlasts applause, and faithfulness always finds its moment.
