Dilag Integrated School (DIS) showcased its academic excellence and talent at the 12th National Battle of Math and Science Champions and the National Marathon of Skills and Talents, held at Easter College, Guisad, on February 20–21, 2026. This prestigious event was sponsored by the Association of Science and Mathematics Educators of Philippine Public and Private Schools (ASMEPPS).

The DIS delegation, composed of 14 student-participants and 4 dedicated coaches, stood tall among competitors from across the country. Leading the victory was Asher G. The journey to the "Summer Capital" was a testament to the school's "Bayanihan" spirit. The school administration extends its deepest gratitude to the coaches who sacrificed their time and energy to train the students, and to the generous donors whose financial support paved the way for this successful participation.

Dilag IS Goes Digital: Khan Academy Wave 2 Officially Launched

Dilag,Tabuk City — Education at Dilag Integrated School just got a major digital upgrade. Following a series of intensive orientations and strategic planning, the school has officially launched the Wave 2 Implementation of Khan Academy Philippines, marking a new era of personalized learning for its students.

The Road to Implementation
The journey began with a high-level Online Pre-Verification Orientation attended by Sir Jay-ar Dalimag and Ma’am Anamarie Carillo. This virtual session brought together educators from across the country to align with the Department of Education’s (DepEd) goal of providing world-class, mastery-based learning. During the session, Ma’am Ana and Sir Jay-ar verified the school’s readiness to integrate digital tools that have been proven to accelerate student growth.
Following the online briefing, several faculty members moved to the next phase: a Face-to-Face Orientation held at Baguio City. This hands-on training focused on navigating the teacher dashboard and using Khan Academy as a supplement to traditional lesson plans to make learning more engaging.

Ma’am Vieberly’s Class Takes the Lead
Upon the recommendation of the School Principal, a strategic decision was made to pilot the program within the Senior High School department. The Statistics and Probability class of Ma’am Vieberly was selected as the pioneer group to register for the platform.
The choice of Ma'am Vieberly's class allows the school to test the platform’s effectiveness in handling complex mathematical concepts. By using Khan Academy, her students can now access immediate feedback on their practice problems, helping them master statistical formulas and data analysis at their own pace.

The Official Launch
The ICT room was buzzing with excitement during the official classroom launch. Under the guidance of Ma’am Vieberly and the support of Ma'am Xhaina Marallag, students successfully created their accounts and joined their respective virtual classrooms.
"It's a great opportunity for the students," Marallag noted. "The platform doesn't just give them answers; it teaches them the process until they truly master the skill."
As the pilot program kicks off, the school administration plans to monitor the progress of Ma’am Vieberly’s students closely, with hopes of expanding the "Khan-tagious" enthusiasm for learning to more classrooms in the near future.
