Wakat National High School officially joins the implementation of the 𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗟 (Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning) Summer Program 2026 pursuant to DepEd Order No. 010, s. 2026.

This program aims to help learners strengthen their skills in Reading and Mathematics through a 20-day tutorial and remediation program.

𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲: May 6 – June 2, 2026

✅ ARAL Summer-Mathematics
✅ Senior High School (SHS) Remediation
✅ Summer Academic Remedial Program (SARP)

𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀:
📌 Incoming Grades 8–11 learners needing support in Reading and Mathematics
📌 Incoming Grade 12 learners for SHS remediation
📌 Learners who failed one or two subjects in SY 2025–2026

We encourage parents and guardians to support and guide our learners in participating actively in this meaningful summer learning opportunity.

🔥 Fire Drill 2026: Building a Culture of Safety and Preparedness

In line with the observance of Fire Prevention Month with the theme “Ligtas na Paaralan at Tahanan, Handa sa bawat Sunog,”Wakat National High School successfully conducted a Fire Drill Orientation and Simulation on March 5, 2026, at the WNHS Grounds in partnership with BFP–Barobo.

The activity was graced by our distinguished partners:
FO1 Cyrus Alag, FO2 RM A. Sabatin, FO1 Lloyd Christian V. Rebucas, and FO2 Dexter F. Gonzales, whose expertise and dedication greatly enriched the learning experience of our students and personnel.

This initiative marked a significant step in strengthening the school’s commitment to safety, preparedness, and disaster resilience. Through hands-on drills and guided orientation, participants were equipped with essential knowledge and life-saving skills necessary during fire emergencies.

More than just a routine activity, the fire drill emphasized that safety is a shared responsibility and a culture that must be nurtured within the school and the community. It highlighted the importance of presence of mind, coordination, and discipline in times of crisis.

With the active participation of our School Disaster Risk Reduction Advocates, Red Cross Youth members, teachers, staff, and students, the activity became a meaningful platform in promoting awareness and readiness.

Wakat NHS extends its heartfelt gratitude to BFP–Barobo for their invaluable support and service. Indeed, through strong partnership and collective effort, we move closer to building a safer and more prepared community.
