Henry Ford once said, "Coming together is the beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success." This adage perfectly captures the spirit of teamwork and unity that propelled the Palasao IS Drum and Lyre Corps to an outstanding performance during the DLC Competition held on August 14, 2024.
This achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our Palasao IS stakeholders. To the parents, we owe a special debt of gratitude. Your unwavering support, encouragement, and trust have been instrumental in our students' success. From ensuring that they were prepared for every practice, staying late at night to fetch your children and making financial sacrifices, to cheering them on during the competition, your involvement made a significant difference. You have not only supported your children but also contributed to the spirit of our entire school community.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the generous individuals, Mrs. Vivian Pontillo, SK Chairman Elvin Miranda, Ms. Aileen Mae Miranda, and Mr. Mark Anthony Espinola, who provided snacks for our drum and lyre members during their practice sessions. To our students especially the Palasao IS DLC, who dedicated countless hours of practice and poured their hearts into every performance and to our committed trainers, Sir Jonathan “Atan”, Elton John Lopio & Carl Justin Tresve and DLC Coordinator, Ms. Josabeth Montenegro, who guided them every step of the way, this victory is a testament to your hard work and perseverance.
We may not have achieved the top spot, but the effort and success we achieved along the way have made us winners. Let us remember that this is just the beginning. Together, with the continued support of our community, we can achieve even greater milestones in the future.
