SNHS Joins the 127th DepEd Founding Anniversary Celebration

On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, right after the school’s daily flag ceremony, Sapao National High School participated in the 127th Founding Anniversary of the Department of Education through a gift-giving activity.

As part of the celebration, school supplies were distributed to all Grade 7 learners and transferees as welcome gesture to their new academic journey in High School.

This activity also marked Part 2 of the Brigada Eskwela 2025 Closing Program, led by Brigada Eskwela Coordinator Ma. Xilca A. Dolar, and highlighted the school’s continuing commitment to community partnership and learner support.

The school supplies were generously donated by the Municipal Mayor of Sta. Monica, Hon. Arwela Arcena Dolar , who, despite her ending leadership journey in the Municipality of Sta. Monica, continues to uplift and inspire the Sapaoan community.

The event was successfully carried out through the collective effort of the entire teaching staff, under the leadership of School Principal Dr. Jovy C. Liza, with the assistance of Ms. Irish Marie E. Gocela.

Sapao NHS remains grateful for the strong collaboration among stakeholders that makes inclusive and quality education possible.

Community Support

The Brigada Eskwela 2025 wrapped up last Saturday, June 14, 2025, with the distribution of school supplies to incoming Grade 7 learners for the upcoming school year.

Held at the Cookery Room of Sapao National High School, the culminating event marked the end of a week-long initiative aimed at preparing the school for the new academic year.

The final day was filled with a festive atmosphere as learners, teachers, donors and volunteers—including parents, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and select members of the Sangguniang Bayan—gathered to support the largest school in the Municipality of Sapao. Some SB members, themselves proud alumni, shared fond memories of their time at the school.

Brigada Eskwela Coordinator Ma. Xilca A. Dolar, Head Teacher/Assistant to the Principal Irish Marie E. Gocela, and School Head/School Principal IV Dr. Jovy C. Liza, in various parts of the program, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support of all stakeholders.

Significant contributions also came from student organizations, including the Supreme Secondary Learners Government (SSLG) under Adviser Harrygene Payao, Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) under Adviser Susan Napoco, and Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) under Adviser Ruches Savandal. These groups actively participated throughout the week-long Brigada Eskwela and played key roles in the success of the culmination program.

Teachers were likewise recognized for their dedication, particularly the class advisers who diligently prepared their classrooms for the opening of classes.

In her concluding speech, Dr. Jovy C. Liza challenged all partners to continue supporting Sapao National High School beyond Brigada Eskwela. She emphasized that strong and consistent partnerships are essential in providing a clear vision for the future of the children.

After the program, 'durog' or 'binignit' was served by the student-leaders. This was prepared under the initiative of Ma’am Lilian Macadlo.

Additionally, Mrs. Irish Marie E. Gocela conducted a separate meeting with Canteen Manager Azenith R. Dumanjog and the canteen vendors to ensure that food sold during the school year will be clean, affordable, and nutritious.

Mrs. Joyce Yvonne M. Tan, who hosted the event and Mrs. Donna B. Longos who led the prayer conveyed through their heartfelt gestures and words the spirit of Brigada Eskwela Closing Program.

▶️ Step 1. Acquire the Basic Education Enrollment Form (BEEF) for incoming Grade 7, 11, Balik Aral and Transferees/ Confirmation Slip for incoming Grade 8, 9, 10 and 11 at the Registrar's Office.
▶️ Step 2. Fill out the Basic Education Enrollment Form/ Confirmation Slip.
▶️ Step 3. Submit the Basic Education Enrollment Form/ Confirmation Slip together with the required documents at the Registrar's Office.
▶️ Step 4. Coordinate with the Grade Level Advisers/Teachers for additional inquiries.
