February 10, 2026 โ€” The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Caraga Region held a ceremony at Mabuhay Elementary School to launch the Bayanihan SIM Project, targeting underserved teaching and non-teaching staff in the municipality of Pilar.

The project distributed SIM cards loaded with 25 GB of data monthly for one year to teaching and non-teaching staff of Katipunan, Salvacion, and Mabuhay Elementary Schools. This aims to address internet affordability and connectivity issues, promoting equal access to online resources and digital learning for students and teachers in remote areas.

The community of KASAMA ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS expressed gratitude for the initiative, seeing it as a significant opportunity to enhance online education. The project is part of DICT's efforts to bridge the digital divide in the region ๐ŸŒ.
