Magsaysay Elementary School successfully conducted its Science and Literacy Month Celebration with a series of fun and educational activities that showcased the skills and talents of its learners. Pupils enthusiastically participated in various contests such as Spelling Contest, Coloring, Quiz Bee, Storytelling, Word Chain, Word Search, and Observation Analysis, which aimed to strengthen their literacy and scientific skills while promoting creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork. The month-long event highlighted the school’s commitment to nurturing holistic development among learners and fostering a love for science and literacy in an engaging and meaningful way.

SDS MANUEL O. CABERTE VISITS MAGSAYSAY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, DISTRIBUTES LEARNERS’ KITS

Magsaysay, General Luna – Learners of Magsaysay Elementary School received educational kits during the official visit of Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Dr. Manuel O. Caberte, together with the team from the Schools Governance and Operations Division (SGOD) led by Ma’am Catherine B. Landao and other division personnel.

The activity was made more meaningful with the participation of the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Magsaysay, headed by Hon. Jenia Jumandos Brgy. Captain and Hon. Analyn Barso Committee on Education, along with the School Parents and Teachers Association (SPTA) Chairperson Daisy A. Jumandos, and the dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff of Magsaysay Elementary School.

As part of the visit, SDS Caberte personally conducted a reading validation among the learners to assess their reading skills and ensure that every child is on track toward becoming an independent reader. The activity highlighted the division’s strong commitment to the “Every Child a Reader” campaign.

Aside from the distribution of learners’ kits, the SDS also engaged in a dialogue with the teachers, school officials, and stakeholders to discuss the priority needs of the school and identify strategies for continuous improvement in both instruction.
The visit emphasized the importance of collaboration among the Department of Education, local government units, parents, and school stakeholders in providing holistic support to learners and in strengthening the delivery of quality basic education in the district.

Magsaysay Elementary School Ipinagdiwang ang Buwan ng Wika

Ipinagdiriwang ngayong araw ng Magsaysay Elementary School ang makabuluhang selebrasyon ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa 2025 na may temang “Paglinang sa Filipino at Katutubong Wika: Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa.”

Sa programa, tampok ang iba’t ibang palatuntunan na nagpakita ng husay at galing ng mga mag-aaral sa paggamit ng Wikang Filipino. Naging bahagi ng selebrasyon ang pagtula, pagsayaw, sabayang pagbasa, akrostik, at talumpati na nagbigay-diin sa kahalagahan ng wika sa kasaysayan at pagkakaisa ng sambayanan.
Bukod dito, masigla ring isinagawa ang mga Laro ng Lahi gaya ng karera ng sako, hilahang lubid, at iba pang tradisyonal na palaro na nagpasigla sa mga mag-aaral at g**o, habang pinalalakas ang diwa ng pakikipagkapwa at bayanihan.

Nagbigay rin ng makabuluhang mensahe si G. Dulguime kung saan kanyang binigyang-diin na ang wika ay mahalagang kasangkapan sa pakikipagtalakayan at pakikipag-usap, na nagsisilbing tulay sa mas malalim na pagkakaunawaan at pagkakaisa ng bawat Pilipino.

Sa kabuuan, naging matagumpay ang selebrasyon na hindi lamang nagbigay-aliw, kundi higit sa lahat ay nagpatibay ng pagmamahal sa sariling wika at pagpapahalaga sa yaman ng ating kultura at kasaysayan.

School-Based Immunization and Deworming Orientation Held at Magsaysay Elementary School

August 7, 2025 – Magsaysay, General Luna — A successful orientation on the upcoming School-Based Immunization and Deworming Program was conducted at Magsaysay Elementary School on Wednesday, August 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM. The event was facilitated by Nurse Vince from the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of General Luna and was attended by both parents and school staff.

The orientation aimed to inform and educate stakeholders about the importance, process, and safety of the immunization and deworming program set to be implemented in schools across the municipality. Nurse Vince, a trusted health professional from the RHU, led the discussion and addressed questions from the attendees regarding the procedures, health benefits, and possible side effects of the vaccines and deworming medicines.

During the session, Nurse Vince emphasized the critical role of these preventive health measures in safeguarding children against common communicable diseases and parasitic infections, thereby improving their overall well-being and school performance.

Parents actively participated in the discussion, voicing their concerns and gaining clarity on the program’s objectives. The school staff, led by the teaching and non-teaching personnel of Magsaysay Elementary School, expressed their full support for the initiative.

The orientation concluded with a strong message of cooperation between the health and education sectors, highlighting their shared responsibility in promoting the health of schoolchildren.

The actual immunization and deworming rollout is scheduled in the coming weeks, with consent forms being distributed to parents following the orientation.
