ALEGRIA, June 1, 2026 โ Demonstrating the spirit of volunteerism and shared responsibility in education, Alegria Elementary School and Alegria National High School successfully launched the Brigada Eskwela 2026 Kick-Off Program at the Alegria ES Covered Court through a collaborative effort of school leaders, stakeholders, parents, and community partners.
The program formally opened with a parade participated in by various stakeholders and supporters of the two schools. Among those in attendance were Hon. Juana Merly Co**ha, Chairman on the Committee on Education; Jemelo M. Bachanicha, SPTA President of Alegria Elementary School; Isabel E. Eusala, SPTA President of Alegria National High School; faculty and staff members of both schools; and parents who volunteered as Brigada Eskwela participants.
Leading the activity were the respective school heads, Mar Flor Arlan, Principal I of Alegria Elementary School, and Bonifacio M. Decoy Jr., Head Teacher III of Alegria National High School, who welcomed the participants and expressed their gratitude for the continued support of the community.
In his message, Mr. Decoy emphasized the true essence of Brigada Eskwela, highlighting that the program was established to help schools prepare a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for learners before the opening of classes. He encouraged everyone to continue working together for the welfare and success of the children.
One of the highlights of the kick-off program was the Pledge of Commitment Signing, where stakeholders, parents, and community partners affixed their signatures on the commitment wall as a symbol of their unwavering support and dedication to the goals of Brigada Eskwela.
The activity concluded with a lively Zumba session, fostering camaraderie, wellness, and enthusiasm among the participants as they prepared for the week-long volunteer activities.
The successful conduct of the Brigada Eskwela 2026 Kick-Off Program reflected the strong partnership between Alegria Elementary School and Alegria National High School, proving that when schools and communities work hand in hand, they create a better learning environment for every child.
