The final day focused on strengthening the character, professionalism, and workplace readiness of student interns in preparation for their forthcoming On-the-Job Training (OJT) deployment.
The morning session featured Rev. Fr. Larry Espeurta, DCS, who delivered an inspiring discussion entitled โCharacter > Career: Why Attitude Matters in the Workplace.โ The lecture emphasized the importance of integrity, accountability, discipline, and a positive work ethic as essential qualities for success in any profession. The culmination of the dayโs activities was marked by the historic conduct of the 1st Hard Hatting Ceremony, the first of its kind in the Collegeโs history. Students from BindTech-ADT, AT, MT, WAFTech, HVACR, ELX, and ELT proudly donned their hard hats as Batch 2027, symbolizing their readiness to embark on their OJT journey and transition from classroom learning to industry immersion.
The ceremony served as a significant milestone for the College of Business and Technology, establishing a new tradition that recognizes studentsโ preparedness to enter professional environments and apply the knowledge, skills, and values they have acquired throughout their academic journey. More than a symbolic rite, the Hard Hatting Ceremony underscored the responsibility, commitment, and professionalism expected of future industry practitioners.
As the two-day orientation program came to a close, the activity reaffirmed SNSUโs commitment to producing competent, safety-conscious, and industry-ready graduates. Through meaningful learning sessions and the inaugural Hard Hatting Ceremony, student interns were empowered to begin their workplace immersion with confidence, purpose, and a strong sense of professional identity.
