Paulinian Roots, Identity, Spirituality, and Mission - PRISM - SPU Surigao

HIGHLIGHTS: St. Paul University Surigao (SPUS) joins the “Dapat Isa Lang” People’s Initiative Campaign on Wednesday, June 12, 2026, coinciding with the commemoration of Philippine Independence Day.

The campaign seeks to gather enough signatures to petition for a Genuine Political Dynasty Bill, a legislative reform aimed at opening up governance to a wider, more inclusive roster of leaders.

In a statement, the institution emphasized that true democracy thrives when leadership is accessible to all qualified citizens, rather than being concentrated within a few political families.

This June 12, 2026, St. Paul University Surigao joins the “Dapat Isa Lang” A People’s Initiative Campaign advocating for the passage of a Genuine Political Dynasty Bill.

As we commemorate Philippine Independence Day, we are reminded that democracy thrives when governance remains open, inclusive, and accessible to all.

The “Dapat Isa Lang” campaign promotes reforms that strengthen democratic institutions, encourage citizen participation, and create opportunities for new leaders to serve.

Together, let us uphold the spirit of democracy and nation-building. One voice, one signature, one step closer to a more democratic Philippines.

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙖𝙪𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙡𝙤𝙗𝙚, the official student publication of St. Paul University Surigao, has officially opened its doors for applications to the Editorial Board for the School Year 2026–2027.

In its commitment to truth, campus journalism, and excellence, the publication is currently seeking student journalists equipped with strong leadership skills, critical thinking, and a passion for service.

Open positions are available for sharp editors, visionary managers, creative artists, and dynamic storytellers ready to lead our team and amplify the stories that matter to the Surigaonon Paulinian community.

Interested students from both the Basic Education and Higher Education departments are invited to submit their applications.
