𝘾𝙧𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 𝘿𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙨 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙈𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙎𝙔 2025–2026

The College of Criminal Justice Education of Sultan Kudarat State University – Kalamansig Campus officially conducted its first General Meeting for the School Year 2025–2026 on October 29, 2025, at 12:30 PM. Students from 1st to 4th year attended the gathering, which focused on strengthening department policies and presenting upcoming plans for the academic year.

One of the main highlights of the meeting was the discussion on the CBL or Constitution and By-Laws, emphasizing better implementation of internal rules and student responsibilities. The department announced that membership fee collection would be set and scheduled every last week of the month, along with formation and inspection activities led by the department’s organization officers. Proper documentation and presentation of finances were also addressed, ensuring transparency for all members. The treasurer was tasked to present the financial report during the meeting to keep the body informed of fund usage and departmental expenditures.

The meeting also covered important protocols including attendance, absences, and excuses, reinforcing discipline as a core value in criminology education. To enrich the learning experience of the criminology students, the department introduced its initial Calendar of Activities for the school year. This includes the planned Educational Tour for 3rd-year students and Criminology Day Celebration. These activities aim to enhance practical knowledge, teamwork, and camaraderie among criminology majors while supporting their academic growth.

The successful opening meeting marks a strong start for the Criminology Department, ensuring that students are guided by clear policies and actively involved in upcoming developmental events throughout SY 2025–2026.

The Sultan Kudarat State University – Kalamansig Campus proudly joins the nation in celebrating the 2nd Philippine Criminology Profession Week on November 3–9, 2025, in accordance with Proclamation No. 397 issued on November 7, 2023. This week-long celebration honors the vital role of criminologists in promoting peace, order, and justice in the country.

The Sultan Kudarat State University–Kalamansig Campus received a Plaque of Recognition from the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines (PCAP) Region XII after being named one of the seven schools in Region XII that achieved an Above National Passing Percentage in the August 2025 Criminologist Licensure Examination.

The awarding took place during the Region XII Oath-Taking of New Criminologists and Induction of New PCAP Members on October 18, 2025, at The Word for Everyone Ministries, Inc., General Santos City. The event gathered new criminologists, school representatives, and PCAP Region XII officers.

SKSU Kalamansig recorded a 64.29% passing rate, with 9 passers out of 14 examinees, surpassing the national passing percentage. This notable performance earned the campus its place among the schools in the region recognized for their excellence in criminology education.

The plaque was officially presented by Dr. Marnie J. Besas, RCrim, PCAP Region XII Governor, together with Dr. Gerry Caño, RCrim, PCAP National President. The recognition served as a tribute to the campus’s commitment to academic excellence and contribution to the field of criminology. Through the unwavering commitment and support of University President Dr. Samson L. Molao, EdD, and Campus Director Dr. Fahad A. Salendab, together with the College Dean Aiza P. Sumalapao, PhD, this success is anchored on their leadership and dedication to inspire and empower students throughout their academic journey.

The ceremony highlighted the achievements of the newly licensed criminologists and the institutions that continuously uphold high standards in criminology education. It also emphasized the important role of schools like SKSU Kalamansig in producing competent and service-driven professionals who will contribute to peace, order, and justice in society.

The event concluded with the oath-taking of the new criminologists, marking the beginning of their professional journey under the guidance and support of PCAP Region XII.

‎Matapos ang matagumpay na pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika, nagdaos ng masayang salu-salo o 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘭𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 ang mga mag-aaral ng Kriminolohiya sa himnasyo ng SKSU Kalamansig Campus. Pinangunahan ito ni Dr. Aiza P. Sumalapao, PhD, Dean ng Kriminolohiya, kasama ang mga g**o at mga estudyante mula 1st year hanggang 3rd year.

‎Bagama’t isang payak na gawain, ang naturang pagtitipon ay nagbigay ng pagkakataon para sa lahat na magsama-sama at magbahaginan ng kwento at halakhak habang nagsasalo sa iisang hapag. Ipinakita nito na higit pa sa isang selebrasyon, mahalaga ang pagkakaisa at samahan ng bawat mag-aaral, na siyang nagsisilbing lakas at sandigan ng programa ng Kriminolohiya.

‎Hindi lamang ito naging pagtitipon ng pagkain kundi naging simbolo rin ng pasasalamat sa mga nakaraang aktibidad, sa dedikasyon ng mga g**o at higit sa lahat, sa pagkakaibigan at pagkakapatiran na nabuo sa loob ng departamento. Sa huli, ang selebrasyon ay nagsilbing paalala na sa Kriminolohiya, ang bawat isa ay may lugar at lahat ay kabilang sa iisang pamilya.

‎The College of Criminal Justice Education successfully conducted its 2nd Parents' Orientation for 3rd and 4th year parents on September 12, 2025 at Sultan Kudarat State University-Kalamansig Campus.
‎
‎The orientation was conducted by Criminology Dean Dr. Aiza P. Sumalapao, PhD. The event officially commenced through addressing agendas such as benefits in organizing the educational tour, thesis writing fee, Internship Training and On-the-Job Training (OJT) concerns for graduating students. Parents’ also agreed to extend their support to the compliance of COPC particularly in the development of laboratory, reinforcing the needs of the department. This exemplifies their gratitude and appreciation for the people behind the success of the COPC Compliance.
‎
‎Beyond simply laying out requirements, the activity emphasized the crucial role parents play in guiding and supporting their children through the demands of criminology education. It highlighted the need for open communication between the institution and families to ensure student success.

‎The day ended on a symbolic note with parents’ oath of understanding, where attendees affirmed their support and commitment to stand behind their children’s academic journey and the initiatives of the College of Criminal Justice Education.
