🛡️ Datu Sambilan Elementary School — School-Based DRRM Season 2 🛡️
With the theme "Maging Handa: DRRM Para sa Lahat", Datu Sambilan ES successfully conducted its one-day School-Based DRRM Season 2, focusing on the topic Psychological First Aid (PFA).
Our resource speaker, Ma’am Jane Roselle G. Hapitan, RN, LPT, Administrative Officer II of Udtong ES, shared her expertise as a Registered Nurse and Licensed Professional Teacher, bringing in valuable knowledge and practical techniques for providing emotional and mental support during and after emergencies.
Psychological First Aid is essential for teachers and pupils as it helps them cope with distress, manage emotions and regain a sense of safety after critical incidents—ensuring that learning and well-being go hand in hand even in challenging times.
The event was joined by pupils, teachers and stakeholders and was made possible through the collective effort of our supportive stakeholders, dedicated DSES staff and the guidance of Renzo Clyde U. Tamoni, Administrative Officer II & DRRM 1st Alternate, together with Yasser P. Macasayon, Head Teacher I & School DRRM Coordinator.
