The PUP College of Law proudly congratulates Deputy City Prosecutor Jessie M. Bautista for receiving the Award for Excellence in OSAEC Prosecution from the Department of Justice โ€“ National Coordination Center Against OSAEC & CSAEM.

The recognition honors his exceptional contribution to the successful prosecution of People of the Philippines v. Abigail Capili y Estacio, et al., G.R. No. 227424, a significant Supreme Court case that contributed to the development and strengthening of Philippine child-protection jurisprudence.

The PUP College of Law celebrates this well-deserved recognition and DCP Bautistaโ€™s continuing contribution to the legal profession and the pursuit of justice for child victims and survivors.

The PUP College of Law Master of Laws (LL.M.) Program held its Student Orientation last August 30, 2026, welcoming 179 incoming students ahead of the opening of classes this September 5. Total enrollment for the First Semester, AY 2026โ€“2027, for incoming students has climbed to 182, proof that more and more legal professionals are placing their trust in the program.

Dean Gemy Lito L. Festin, LL.M., together with Atty. Mark Ceasar V. Tecson, LL.M., led the orientation and shared insights to help guide the new batch as they start this important chapter.

To our newest LL.M. family: welcome aboard! As classes begin on September 5, we hope this semester brings not just meaningful learning, but real growth in how you practice and understand the law.

On August 25, 2026, the PUP Master of Laws Program held its Faculty Meeting for the First Semester of AY 2026โ€“2027, led by Dean Gemy Lito L. Festin, LL.M., together with Atty. Mark Ceasar V. Tecson, LL.M. Aside from welcoming new faculty and honoring outstanding professors, the gathering also marked a milestone for the program, its first ever face-to-face faculty meeting.

The occasion also welcomed the newest members joining our faculty this semester. We look forward to the knowledge, expertise, and experience they bring in guiding our LL.M. students toward a meaningful and transformative legal education, and to the contributions they will make to the program's continued growth.
