The School Administration is aware of the circulating social media post from an unverified account containing statements that have caused concern among our learners, parents, teaching and non-teaching personnel, and the wider school community.
The school does not take this matter for granted. Upon learning of the post, the School Administration immediately coordinated with the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Liloan, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Isidro C. Catubig, and Atty. Reynaldo R. Badilla for appropriate assessment, coordination, and necessary preventive measures.
As a precautionary measure, LNTVHS will implement heightened safety and security measures with the assistance of the PNP and the 2nd Southern Leyte Mobile Force Company. Increased security presence and monitoring will be maintained within and around the school premises.
Authorized personnel may also conduct appropriate inspection of bags and other belongings, in accordance with existing school policies and applicable laws, as part of our enhanced security measures.
Classes will resume tomorrow as scheduled. However, the school assures all learners, parents, and personnel that strengthened safety and security measures will be in place to help ensure a safe learning environment.
The school likewise recognizes that parents and guardians have the responsibility to decide whether or not to allow their children to attend classes tomorrow. Their decision will be respected.
We strongly encourage everyone to remain calm and refrain from sharing, reposting, or amplifying unverified information that may cause unnecessary alarm. Please rely only on official announcements and verified information from the school and concerned authorities.
The School Administration remains in close coordination with the appropriate government and law-enforcement agencies and will provide further information should verified developments arise.
The safety, security, and welfare of our learners and personnel remain our utmost priority.
