In a time when our country faces many challenges, the voice of the youth has never been more important. The future of the Philippines will not only be shaped by leadersโbut by citizens who choose to participate, engage, and vote responsibly.
Your vote is more than a mark on a ballot. It is your voice for good governance, accountability, better opportunities, social justice, and a brighter future for every Filipino. Change begins when citizens, especially the youth, choose not to stay silent.

SorSU Sibika Hub proudly congratulates Mr. Erwin Formento, a student of the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program of Sorsogon State University Graduate School and active member of SorSU Sibika Hub, for being selected as one of the 32 youth leaders from Albay and Sorsogon to participate in the 8-day training program under the Resilience, Innovation, and Sustainability for Empowered Youth (RISE) Project, where he represented SorSU Sibika Hub.
The RISE Project was officially launched last February 13, 2026, at the Peopleโs Mansion and is spearheaded by the International Organization for Migration in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and YMCA of Albay. The initiative aims to empower young people to become active agents of climate action and sustainable development through leadership training, innovation, and community resilience-building.
As part of the program, Mr. Formento participated in a series of training sessions conducted on April 23โ25, 2026 at The Oriental Hotel in Legazpi City, Albay; April 30โMay 2, 2026 in Albay and Sorsogon; and May 19โ20, 2026 in Albay. These activities focused on climate action, leadership development, resilience-building, and sustainable community engagement among youth leaders.
Notably, the RISE Project does not only provide capacity-building interventions but also extends potential opportunities for technical and funding support for participant-led initiatives, further empowering youth leaders to develop innovative and sustainable climate adaptation projects within their respective communities.
SorSU Sibika Hub likewise extends its sincere acknowledgment and gratitude to the Sorsogon State University Administration, led by Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, for its continued support and encouragement toward youth development, leadership initiatives, and community engagement programs that empower students and young leaders to actively participate in nation-building and climate action.
Together, let us continue empowering the youth toward a resilient, innovative, and sustainable future.

Sharing Hope, One Gift at a Time ๐๐
Last December 20, 2025, a meaningful Gift-Giving Activity was conducted at Bahay Pag-asa in Sorsogon City for Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL). The activity was organized by the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO) under the leadership of Mr. Julius Edma, Sorsogon Provincial Youth Development Officer, in collaboration with SK Federation President of the Province of Sorsogon, Hon. Karl Marx Lozada.
The event was made even more meaningful through the special participation of the SorSU Sibika Hub, represented by Dr. Catherine A. De Castro and Dr. Errol G. De Castro, as partners came together to share gifts, encouragement, and moments of care with the youth. More than the gifts, the activity emphasized compassion, guidance, and the importance of second chances for every young person.
Our sincere appreciation to all organizers and partners for bringing hope and positivity to the youth of Bahay Pag-asa. Together, we continue to build a more inclusive and caring community.

Naumpisahan na nga ito ng mga kasama natin sa FAITH Colleges: First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities Sibika Hub at ng One South Luzon Coalition para sa kanilang voterโs education sessions, pati ng BALAGDIWA: North Luzon Youth Leaders Network at University of the Cordilleras (Northern Luzon Sibika Hub) para sa kanilang civic education initiatives, at ng Western Mindanao State University (WMSU Sibika Hub) at USAD Ka-ZamPen.
โ
