The Parents’ Coordinating Council is a group of parents selected by the parents at a school to represent all the parents of the schoolchildren. The Parents’ Coordinating Council has an important role to play in school improvement by ensuring that the parental perspective is represented and considered on policy matters affecting the education of their children. Parents’ Coordinating Councils are constituted bodies who are independent from the school and the local authority.
