Today, 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 22, we commemorate Cavite Day, a significant occasion that honors the province's vital role in Philippine history. Cavite, known as the "𝑪𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑰𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆," played a crucial part in the revolution against Spanish rule. It was here that the historic Battle of Alapan and the declaration of independence took place, shaping the future of our nation. The day is a reminder of the sacrifices and courage of our ancestors who fought for the freedom we enjoy today.

This year, we also commemorate the 156𝓽𝓱 birth anniversary of 𝓖𝓮𝓷𝓮𝓻𝓪𝓵 𝓔𝓶𝓲𝓵𝓲𝓸 𝓐𝓰𝓾𝓲𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓭𝓸, the first President of the Philippines and a key figure in our struggle for independence. His leadership and vision paved the way for the sovereignty we cherish.

In recognition of this important day, Malacañang has declared March 22 as a special non-working holiday in the province of Cavite, allowing Caviteños to celebrate and honor their rich history.

As we celebrate Cavite Day, let us reflect on our rich cultural heritage and the contributions of the people of Cavite to our nation's progress. This day is not only a celebration of our past but also an opportunity to look forward to a brighter future, united in pride and love for our history.
