“What did you really gain from joining a fraternity?”
That question has followed many of us for years.
Some people only saw the outside. They saw the gatherings, the laughter, the late nights, and they quickly concluded that it was all about drinking, hanging around, and getting into trouble.
But they never saw what happened behind the scenes.
They never saw how a brother would remind you to study because failing a subject was never something to be proud of. They never saw the discipline, the accountability, and the lessons that came with every mistake. They never understood that brotherhood was never just about standing together—it was about growing together.
For many of us, Tau Gamma Phi was more than an organization. It became a second home during one of the most important chapters of our lives—our college days at CSTC.
It was here that we learned that respect is earned through humility. That leadership is not about power, but about service. That confidence is built by believing in yourself, especially when your brothers believe in you first.
The quiet ones found their voices. The shy learned to lead. The stubborn learned responsibility. The ordinary discovered the extraordinary within themselves.
Looking back now, we realize that the greatest legacy of our chapter was never the events we organized or the memories we created.
It was the people we became.
Today, many of us are professionals, entrepreneurs, public servants, parents, and individuals striving to make an honest living. We all chose different paths, but wherever life has taken us, we carry the same values that were instilled in us years ago—brotherhood, respect, service, loyalty, and courage.
Not everyone will understand what Tau Gamma Phi means to us, and that’s perfectly fine. Some stories can only be understood by those who lived them.
To every brother who once wore our colors, shared our victories, learned from our failures, laughed until sunrise, and stood beside us through every challenge—
This anniversary is for you.
No matter how many years pass, no matter how far life takes us, we will always be connected by the memories we built, the lessons we learned, and the brotherhood we chose.

Here’s to the brotherhood that shaped our character, strengthened our spirit, and gave us memories that time can never erase.
