CHS Dominates CFOT 2026, Clinches 4 Championship Titles

Proud and grateful today as we celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students at the 2026 Cluster Festival of Talents (CFOT), held today at Santiago North Central School, organized by the Santiago North Cluster of Schools in line with the Department of Education’s commitment to giving learners a platform to showcase their talents, skills, creativity, and competencies.

Our students brought home multiple championship titles, a testament to their hard work, discipline, and the dedicated guidance of their coaches and mentors.

JUST IN | CHS Champions Inter-school Disaster Preparedness Quiz Bee

Congratulations to Precious Lara Galima and Vandam Obice for winning as Champion in the Inter-School Disaster Preparedness Quiz Bee organized by the Santiago City LDRRMO.

The CHS delegation also participated in the Hands-Only CPR Day Celebration, represented by Julie Ann Diaz, Pin Blessing Clarin, C-jay Pajarillo, together with the Quiz Bee champions.

The team was coached by Sir Hex Denver Reyes, SDRRM Coordinator, with the assistance of Sir Wino Eugenio and Ma'am Maribel Santos Addauan, under the full support of Sir Randy Mina, Principal III.

Alinsunod sa DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026 o Guidelines on Ensuring Safe and Motivating Learning Environment (ESMLE), ipinaaalala sa lahat ng mag-aaral, magulang, at personnel ng Cabulay High School na mahigpit na ipinatutupad ang polisiya tungkol sa limitasyon sa paggamit ng gadgets sa oras ng klase o instructional hours.

📵 Mahigpit na ipinagbabawal ang paggamit ng gadgets sa loob ng klase para sa personal na layunin.

✔️ Pinapayagan lamang ang paggamit nito kung:
• Para sa layuning pang-edukasyon
• Sa oras ng emergency o kinakailangang sitwasyon

Cabulay High School joins the division-wide effort to strengthen learners' reading skills.

In compliance with Regional Memorandum No. 310, s. 2022 on Intensifying the Reading Recovery Plan to Address Learning Gaps, SDO Santiago City conducted the Division Oral Reading Pre-Assessment today at Cabulay High School, August 5, 2025, as part of Project SEERS (Strategies to Enhance and Escalate Reading Skills of Santiago City Learners).

Spearheaded by the Curriculum Implementation Division, the activity aims to:
✅ Assess learners' current performance levels in reading
✅ Evaluate the effectiveness of reading strategies employed by teachers
✅ Measure the impact of the school-based reading program

The assessment covered Grades I to 12, with CHS scheduled today. It was facilitated by Education Program Supervisors, Secondary School Heads, and Master Teachers across the division.

Special recognition goes to Sir Randy B. Mina, Principal III, and Sir Constante G. Castisimo, Teacher III and CHS Reading Coordinator, for their strong leadership and dedication to literacy advancement.

Cabulay High School extends its heartfelt gratitude to Ma’am Emerita Tolentino Mawirat, EPS in Mathematics, for her invaluable technical assistance yesterday in preparation for today’s Division Oral Reading Pre-Assessment.

Special thanks as well to our dedicated Reading Coordinator, Sir Constante Galima Castisimo Jr., Teacher III, and to our supportive School Principal, Sir Randy Mina, Principal III, for their unwavering commitment to strengthening literacy efforts in our school.
