When a child feels overwhelmed in the classroom, another teacher may step in to support the child in regulating their emotions and behaviour. If needed, the child may be brought to the administrator’s office to provide a calm and safe space where they can take a break, process their emotions, and regain self-control.

At Little Tots House, learning becomes more meaningful when children are engage in hands-on activities. Our N2 learners enjoyed their fun sensorial activity today. Good job, N2! 👐

ReAl Talk

Many people ask why it is so difficult for schools to fully embrace inclusive education.

Teacher training is certainly one factor. Educators need the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support children with diverse learning needs. However, from the perspective of a private school, one of the biggest challenges is funding.

Private schools rely mainly on monthly tuition fees to operate. Providing quality inclusive education requires additional resources—specialized teacher training, learning materials, classroom accommodations, and, in many cases, more staff to meet the needs of every child.

If schools, including private institutions, received adequate financial support, I believe many more would be willing and able to fully embrace inclusive education. Inclusion should not be limited by a school’s budget. Every child deserves access to quality education, and every school deserves the support needed to make that possible.

Our Playgroup afternoon class (2nd session) had fun exploring an exciting obstacle course that combined gross motor development and sensorial learning! They carefully walked through different obstacles while experiencing the contrast between rough (rice grains) and soft (pillows) using their feet.

Through movement and sensory play, they developed balance, coordination, and confidence—all while having fun! 🌾🛏️✨

Inclusive education means more than opening our doors to every child—it also means equipping our teachers with the right knowledge and tools to support diverse learning needs.

We are grateful that Teacher Jessa, the owner of an ABA center in the NCR, is currently in Santiago. We are blessed to have the opportunity to learn from her through a specialized workshop for our teachers.

This training will not only benefit children with special needs but will also help teachers better understand and support children with behavioral challenges, creating a more inclusive, compassionate, and effective learning environment for every child.

Today, we had our first meeting with our class representatives, and it was truly inspiring. Thank you, dear parents, for your time, support, and willingness to serve our school community. We are grateful to have such dedicated parents working alongside us for the benefit of our children. God bless you all!
