The camp gathered graduating students in a meaningful and engaging experience filled with team-building activities, leadership workshops, reflection sessions, and recreational events. The activity aimed to foster unity among students while preparing them emotionally and mentally for life beyond senior high school.

Throughout the camp, students participated in interactive team-building games that tested their communication, trust, and collaboration skills. At the recent commencement exercises of Sinalhan Integrated High School, Emerson Macahilig Florino of HUMSS B, who graduated With High Honors and ranked first in his batch, delivered a heartfelt valedictory address that moved fellow graduates, teachers, and parents alike.

Opening his speech with the line, “I won’t fall back, if I fall forward,” from a song by Olivia Dean, Florino reflected on courage, perseverance, and growth. He shared personal stories from his childhood, describing himself as once carefree and academically struggling, before realizing that self-belief and the support of others would shape his transformation.

Florino candidly recounted his early academic insecurities and fears of joining extracurricular activities, admitting that doubt often held him back. However, he emphasized that growth begins when one chooses to move forward despite fear. Quoting, “You cannot unlock a door with old keys,” he mentioned the importance of embracing change and new opportunities.

A significant portion of his speech was dedicated to gratitude. He honored his teachers for their unwavering dedication and described his classmates in HUMSS B as his “energy source” and second family. He credited their encouragement for helping him realize his potential and for inspiring him to strive beyond his limits.

One of the most emotional moments of his address came when Florino openly expressed gratitude to his parents, not only for their sacrifices but also for their unconditional acceptance of him. His message of love, authenticity, and courage resonated deeply with the audience.

“As I stand here today,” Florino shared, “this is for myself, and I will strive even more in the future that awaits me.” He reminded his fellow graduates that success is never achieved alone and encouraged them to seek support, embrace light even in dark moments, and continue striving for better.

Florino concluded by congratulating Batch 2025–2026 and expressing pride in being part of the graduating class of Sinalhan Integrated High School.

His speech stood as a testament to resilience, self-discovery, and the power of community, an inspiring send-off for a batch ready to move forward without fear.
