Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) Green Rangersโ€™ duo Janella Quinto and Kyle Deduro claimed the Womenโ€™s Doubles championship after defeating Cavite Sate University (CavSU) Green Hornets Wendilyn Hersus and Ashley Nicole Sastre in straight sets during the final day of the 28th STRASUC Olympics badminton competition in Santa Cruz.

The CavSU Green Hornets delivered a composed and well-coordinated performance to seal the Womenโ€™s Doubles title, outclassing the SLSU Green Rangers with scores of 21โ€“17 and 21โ€“18.

Quinto and Peduro established early control in the opening set through sharp net play and steady midcourt defense, allowing them to hold off Hersus and Sastre's attempts to rally. CavSU responded with stronger exchanges in the second set, but SLSU's duo maintained crucial momentum in the closing points to secure the straight-set victory.

Despite PalSUโ€™s effort to mount a comeback in the second set, Presenta and Burias maintained their momentum and tactical precision, closing the match with a 21-16 victory. Occidental Mindoro State College (OMSC) Blue Tamaraw Lenly Mae Fortunado secured the Singles B Women championship of the 28th STRASUC Olympics 2025 Badminton Competition after defeating University of the Philippines Los Baรฑos (UPLB) Fighting Maroons Bianca Isabel Pagkalinawan in straight sets at the Santa Cruz Gymnasium.

Fortunado immediately established control in the opening set, using sharp placements and steady rallies to take a commanding 21โ€“11 win. Pagkalinawan mounted a stronger challenge in the second set, tightening her defense and extending rallies, but Fortunado maintained her momentum to close the match at 21โ€“18.

In an impressive display of control and determination, Cavite State University (CavSU) Green Hornetsโ€™ Chynna Mayordomo emerged as the Womenโ€™s Singles A Badminton Champion, defeating University of the Philippines Los Baรฑos (UPLB) Fighting Maroonsโ€™ Trixy Velasco in a compelling two-set finals match. Mayordomo dominated the opening set with a decisive 21-10 victory, using sharp placement and steady defense to keep Velasco on the backfoot.

The second set proved more intense as Velasco fought hard to shift the momentum, but Mayordomoโ€™s composure and timely attacks allowed her to secure the set at 21-18, sealing the championship for CaVSU. They delivered an outstanding performance, but it was Mayordomoโ€™s consistency and resilience that crowned her the tournamentโ€™s top contender in Womenโ€™s Singles A.
