Celebrating the Art of Language: The Wordsmith Challenge 2024 📖✨
The English Club proudly wraps up The Wordsmith Challenge, a celebration of creativity, talent, and the boundless possibilities of words. This week, the halls of Saint Francis National High School came alive with the enthusiasm and brilliance of our Franciscans as they competed in the Spelling Bee 🐝, explored their voices in the Essay Writing Contest ✍️, brought words to life through the Rhymes and Lines: Poetry and Art Contest 🎨🖋️, and stepped into the shoes of beloved characters in the Book Character Costume Competition 🎭📚.
🌟 Congratulations to all the participants and winners! 🌟 You’ve inspired us with your passion, skill, and originality.
A huge thank-you goes out to our dedicated English Club Officers, facilitators, and the entire SFNHS community 🙌, who worked tirelessly to make this event a success. Together, we’ve celebrated not just language, but the stories and creativity that connect us all.

📚✨ Get ready for an exciting week celebrating the beauty of language and expression as the English Club presents “The Wordsmith Challenge”! This November, showcase your talents in spelling, writing, and poetry through engaging competitions that inspire creativity and excellence.
Here’s what’s In store for you:
✏️ Spelling Bee
📍 Participants: One representative per section, divided into five divisions:
• Grade 7 (7 participants)
• Grade 8 (6 participants)
• Grade 9 (7 participants)
• Grade 10 (7 participants)
• SHS (6 participants).

📍Math Lab, LA II Room 6, & Library
✍️ Essay Writing Contest
📍 Participants: Open to all SFNHS students, except members of the school journalism team.

🎨 Rhymes and Lines: Poetry and Art Contest
📍 Participants: Open to all SFNHS students, with two members per team (one poet, one artist).
