The Santa Cruz Manpower Training and Assessment Center, under the Public Employment Service Office of the Local Government Unit of Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur, officially commenced the Learn and Build Program: Skills Training and Practical Production in Masonry, Carpentry, Electrical Installation, Welding, and Plumbing.
The program is being conducted at the proposed Training Facility located at the Demo Farm, Zone II, Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur, where participants will gain hands-on experience by applying their technical skills in an actual construction setting. Through this practical production approach, trainees will not only enhance their competencies but will also contribute to the development of a future training venue that will serve as an avenue for the continuous implementation of technical and vocational education programs of SCMTAC.
This initiative reflects the commitment of the Local Government Unit of Santa Cruz to strengthen workforce development by providing community members with industry-relevant skills while simultaneously establishing a sustainable training facility for future learners.
The program is made possible through the valuable partnership of the Department of Labor and Employment โ Davao del Sur Field Office, headed by Provincial Director Mr. Leo Ariel Pepino. As part of DOLE's support, participants will receive training toolkits during the culmination of the program and daily training allowances, enabling them to complete the training with the necessary resources and financial assistance.
SCMTAC extends its sincere appreciation to DOLE Davao del Sur Field Office for its unwavering support in empowering individuals through skills development and livelihood opportunities. Together, this collaboration continues to build a more competent, productive, and employment-ready workforce while creating infrastructure that will benefit future generations of trainees in the Municipality of Santa Cruz.
