The Aspirants of Advance ROTC (MS 32) and the Cadet Officers’ Candidate Course (COCC) underwent the Reception Rites Ceremony at Sta. Ana Elementary School on February 8, 2026, marking the start of their journey from civilians to officer candidates.
Guided by the Corps Commander and Staff, together with Philippine Air Force instructors, the aspirants faced physically and mentally demanding activities designed to instill discipline, resilience, teamwork, and leadership under pressure.
This rite of passage tested their endurance and determination, ensuring that only those with the heart to lead and serve will move forward in the officer candidate program. Salute to the courage and commitment of our future leaders.

14 November 2025: As part of the 80th Founding Anniversary of Holy Cross College, the 238th Department of Military Science and Tactics led by Sgt Tyron Angel Berri PAF (Res), a 23rd AFGR personnel and the NSTP Coordinator, together with the Military Training Instructors: TSg Maria Cristina B Lorica PAF and A1C Jaycar G Turla PAF successfully conducted a clean-up drive at Sta Ana Elementary School, Brgy Sta Lucia, Sta Ana, Pampanga. Through their combined effort, the team collected 75 sacks of garbage, helping restore cleanliness in the school and its surrounding community.

This activity highlights the value of teamwork, discipline, and community service. It serves as a reminder that even simple acts of kindness and responsibility can create a positive impact. By working together, we contribute to a cleaner environment and inspire others to take part in building a better community. May this effort continue to encourage everyone to act with purpose, serve with heart, and make a difference—one small step at a time.

05 October 2025: Few training days before the first semester comes to an end, the 238th Department of Military Science and Tactics successfully conducted its 12th Training Day at Brgy Sta Lucia, Sta Ana, Pampanga. The activity aimed to sustain the momentum of training, enhance the cadets’ discipline, and strengthen their camaraderie as they approach the conclusion of the semester. Each session reflected the cadets’ growing sense of responsibility and commitment to the ideals of leadership, service, and patriotism.

During the training day, the 238th DMST continued its intensive rehearsals for the upcoming Silent Drill Presentation in celebration of the 80th Founding Anniversary of Holy Cross College on 08 October 2025. While the selected advance cadets focused on perfecting their performance, the rest of the corps mastered various military drills and exercises under the supervision of TSg Maria Cristina B Lorica PAF, who ensured that every cadet demonstrated discipline, precision, and teamwork. The entire unit remains steadfast in upholding the proud tradition of the ROTC, preparing future leaders dedicated to excellence and service to the nation.

28 September 2025: The selected Advance ROTC Officers of the 238th Department of Military Science and Tactics continue to dedicate their time and effort as they rehearse for the much-anticipated Silent Drill Performance of this ROTC Unit in celebration of the 80th Founding Anniversary of Holy Cross College on 08 October 2025 at Brgy Sta Lucia, Sta Ana, Pampanga. The training and rehearsals are facilitated by LTC CRISPIN L CAPRANGCA PAF (Res), Commandant, together with TSg Maria Cristina B Lorica PAF and A1C Jaycar G Turla PAF, Military Training Instructors, who continuously guide and inspire the cadets to perform with excellence and confidence.

While the selected Advance Officers focused on perfecting their routines, the remaining Basic and Advance cadets simultaneously conducted their practical exercises as part of their 11th ROTC Training Day. These activities aim to develop military skills, strengthen discipline, and enhance leadership and teamwork among the Corps of Cadets. Each training session reinforces the values of unity, perseverance, and commitment that define the ROTC spirit.

As the 80th Founding Anniversary draws near, the enthusiasm and dedication of every cadet grow stronger. Through continuous training, teamwork, and determination, the 238th DMST remains steadfast in embodying the ideals of the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, upholding leadership, excellence, and service to the community and the nation.

21 September 2025: The 238th Department of Military Science and Tactics conducted its 10th Training Day, showcasing discipline, teamwork, and determination headed by LTC CRISPIN L CAPRANGCA PAF (Res), Commandant. The day began with an ROTC formation and the midterm examination for the first semester of CY 2025–2026, testing the knowledge and readiness of our cadets.

After the exam, training continued with practical drill exercises by the basic cadets and advance officers, once again showing their drive to learn, improve, and strengthen their unity as one corps. Meanwhile, TSg Maria Cristina B Lorica PAF and A1C Jaycar G Turla PAF guided selected cadets in rehearsals for the much-awaited Silent Drill Presentation. This special performance is being prepared in honor of the 80th Founding Anniversary of Holy Cross College on 30 September 2025 at Brgy Sta Lucia, Sta Ana, Pampanga.

The 10th Training Day was more than just another step in the semester; it served as a strong reminder of what it truly means to wear the uniform with pride. It was a day filled with learning, discipline, and growth, where every cadet proved their commitment to service and their readiness to face the challenges ahead.

As we continue our ROTC journey, we uphold the values of Discipline, Service, and Excellence, always striving to become leaders who serve with honor, uphold unity, and bring pride to the corps. Truly, we stand ROTC Strong!

CONGRATULATIONS, DR. MARK JOHN M. PANGAN! 🏆

We proudly celebrate Dr. Mark John M. Pangan, Dean of the School of Criminal Justice, for being awarded 3rd Place as the 2025 Most Outstanding Academic Head in the Philippines at the 32nd Outstanding PERAA Members Awards, held during PERAA’s 53rd Anniversary Celebration on September 19, 2025, at Mallberry Suites Business Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City! 🎉

Chosen from among 135 participating schools nationwide, Dr. Pangan stood out for his excellence, leadership, and service. He is the youngest awardee across all categories and the first-ever employee of Holy Cross College–Pampanga to earn national recognition in this prestigious search. He received a plaque of recognition, a cash prize, and acknowledgment from other award-giving bodies.

This remarkable victory also brought honor to Holy Cross College–Pampanga, which was recognized as an Outstanding Employer for its unwavering support to teachers and employees. The College also received a Special Award as a first-time participant in the 32-year history of the TOPM Search, along with a tablet prize for having its nominee make it as a finalist.

The Academic Head category is open to full-time, permanent employees with at least three years of leadership service, and winners are judged based on education, work competence and effectiveness, professional activities, community involvement, and awards.

Truly, this achievement is not only a personal milestone for Dr. Pangan but also a historic and proud moment for the entire HCC community. His leadership and service embody the mission of Holy Cross College as a School with a Heart. ❤️

07 September 2025: The Military Training Instructors of the 238th Department of Military Science and Tactics headed by TSg Maria Cristina B Lorica PAF, NCOIC successfully conducted the 8th Training Day of the ROTC Program for the 1st Semester CY 2025–2026.

As part of the day’s activity, a video presentation on "International Humanitarian Law" was presented to the cadets. The presentation highlighted the importance of upholding humanitarian principles and the rules of armed conflict, instilling in the cadets the values of discipline, respect for human rights, and adherence to the law of armed engagements.

After the presentation, the cadets moved to the field to conduct practice and rehearsals for their Silent Drill Presentation, which they will be performing in line with the upcoming Founding Anniversary of Holy Cross College. This activity not only sharpened their precision and synchronization but also developed their teamwork, focus, and confidence in preparation for their public performance.

Through this training day, the cadets demonstrated both intellectual growth and physical discipline, reflecting the holistic training approach of the ROTC Program in shaping future leaders and citizen soldiers.

31 August 2025: The 238th Department of Military Science and Tactics headed by LTC CRISPIN L CAPRANGCA PAF (Res), Commandant successfully conducted its 7th Training Day for the ROTC Program this 1st Semester of CY 2025–2026.

The day started with calisthenics and physical training led by the advance officers, building strength, endurance, and teamwork among the cadets. Afterwards, LTC CAPRANGCA shared meaningful lectures on "Human Rights" and "Social Graces and Protocols", reminding the corps that true leadership is not only about discipline and knowledge, but also about respect, responsibility, and character. Followed by the basic ROTC cadets practical drill exercises, showing discipline, precision, and unity as they continue to develop their skills and confidence as future leaders.

Each training day brings new lessons and challenges, but also new growth for every cadet. With every step, the 238th ROTC family moves closer to its goal of building strong, disciplined, and service-driven leaders for the nation.

24 August 2025: The Military Training Instructors of 238th Department of Military Science and Tactics headed by LTC CRISPIN L CAPRANGCA PAF (Res), Commandant and 2LT GLENN MARK AYOP PAF, Assistant Commandant together with TSg Maria Cristina B Lorica PAF, A1C Jaycar G Turla PAF and AM Jan Elvin G Habig PAF successfully conducted its 6th Training Day at Holy Cross College, Brgy San Luis, Sta Ana, Pampanga.

During the activity, advanced ROTC cadets engaged in rifle practical exercises as part of the Program of Instruction and preparation for their silent drill performance in the upcoming Holy Cross College Founding Anniversary Celebration. The session was facilitated by the Military Training Instructors to ensure precision, discipline, and synchronization among cadets.

In addition, A1C Turla delivered a lecture on "Introduction to Civil-Military Operations" emphasizing the importance of military-civilian cooperation, while TSg Lorica discussed "National Threats" providing cadets with essential knowledge on national security and awareness.

Through these activities, the ROTC program continues to build disciplined, skilled, and service-oriented cadets who are ready to lead and serve the nation.
