OPLAN KALUSUGAN SA DEPED MEDICAL-DENTAL CARAVAN 👌👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️

The Division Medical-Dental Caravan for Oplan Kalusugan sa DepEd (OK sa DepEd) was launched at Santiago Elementary School today, October 15, led by Dr. Albert B. Canceran of the Health and Nutrition Section of SDO- Cagayan.

The caravan included the implementation of six flagship programs of OK sa DepEd, namely: medical, nursing and dental services; WASH in schools; school-based feeding program; adolescent reproductive health; school mental health; and the national drug education program. Dr. Glaidine Zein C. Padirayon, an optometrist, was also invited to provide eye care services. They also distributed health kits and school supplies to teachers and students. The event also included fun activities for the students through parlor games.

The caravan promotes the importance of good health and adequate nutrition for students and teachers through Oplan Kalusugan sa DepEd (OK sa DepEd), providing much-needed health services, ensuring their well-being and allowing them to focus on their studies.

Students and teachers express their gratitude and joy for the services and benefits they received from the doctors, and nurses of SDO Cagayan, including Dr. Padirayon.✨
