As we are preparing for our summit sponsored by Save Philippine Seas and Coca-cola Philppines, we are delighted and overwhelmed to be guided and mentored by Ms. Anabelle Calleja, Head of Tourism of Mauban Quezon Province and currently taking her doctorate degree in sustainability in University of the Philippines.

Her insights and her 20-year expertise and experince in tourism activites and issues gave us more wisdom to conceptualize our perception on Circular economy.
In her lecture she left us two things to ponder and discuss among ourselves:

1. Change of people’s mindset and empowering minds of every individual regarding use of PET bottles. Educating people and showing them the effect to ocean of dumping plastic causes degregation of marine life especially turtle, fish and corals .
2. The effort on creativity attracts people’s mind to participate in garbage collection program. Money in exchange of plastic is okay but it should have sustainability and creativity attracting more spectators to share, vlog, and digitally promote the program for multiple impacts. With these learnings on mind, surely we will maximize our skills and knowledge to show what SDRC Repurpose team can contribute to create concrete programs for circular economy, green universe and to SAVE LAMON BAY and the ocean.
