The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has secured ₱56.66 million from the Higher Education Development Fund (HEDF) to continue supporting scholars taking Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science and Pharmacy through Academic Year 2026-2027.

The funding will support 238 ongoing scholars for the second semester of AY 2025-2026 and 300 scholars for the first semester of AY 2026-2027, helping them continue their studies and move closer to licensure and service in the country’s healthcare system.

The initiative supports President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s push to strengthen the country’s health workforce by helping develop more licensed medical technologists and pharmacists, particularly for communities and public health facilities that need them most.

Important Reminder issued by CHED and Landbank:

Please make sure to keep a balance of at least ₱1.00 in your LBP PISO Plus Account at all times. This prevents the bank from automatically closing your account.

Be advised that once an account is closed, it cannot be reactivated. You will be required to undergo the process of opening a new LBP PISO Plus account, which can cause significant delays. We highly encourage you to monitor your balance regularly to avoid these complications.

Please take caution against online scams especially phishing. Furthermore, please note that LBP, CHED, UniFAST and SLRC will NEVER ASK for your username and password.

As advised by CHEDRO VIII and LBP Ormoc Branch, the unsuccessful applications of LBP PISO Plus Account have been resolved.

Please send the Scholarships Office the screenshot of your successful application with your name and account number using the LBP Mobile App. However, if your LBP account still have problems, please visit LBP Ormoc Branch personally and ask for assistance.

Please take caution against online scams especially phishing. Remember that LBP, CHED, UniFAST and SLRC will NEVER ASK for your username and password.

UniFAST – Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) Application for Academic Year 2026-2027 is now OPEN!

If you are:

~ freshman, transferee or continuing SLRC Student;
~ enrolled in BS Nursing, BS MedTech or BS Pharmacy, Year Level 1, 2, 3 or 4 this coming Academic Year 2026-2027;
~ with either regular or irregular academic units; and,
~ not a scholarship recipient under Ormoc City LGU; CHED Merit; or OWWA,

then you are eligible to apply!
