Every June 19, we celebrate the birth of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. It is a special day that commemorates his birth on June 19, 1861. As the national hero of the Philippines, Rizal fought through his words, particularly in his novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, which exposed the injustices of Spanish colonial rule. These works awakened the minds of Filipinos and made them aware of the realities of their time. Through his writings, Rizal risked his life to ensure that the truth reached his fellow Filipinos. His words spread like wildfire—once ignited, they were difficult to extinguish. Through the knowledge Filipinos gained, and not through violence alone, a revolution was born. These works opened the eyes of the people and ignited their desire for freedom.

The bustling streets of Laguna come alive with festivity in honor of our national hero whenever the calendar reaches June 19. Born in Calamba, Laguna, on June 19, 1861, Rizal was not only a writer but also a devoted son and a diligent student. He aspired to become an ophthalmologist so he could help restore his mother's failing eyesight. Like any other student, Rizal faced hardships along the way. He eventually left the University of Santo Tomas after experiencing racial discrimination and receiving unfair treatment from some of his instructors. Nevertheless, he persevered and did not allow these challenges to stop him from engraving his words on both paper and history.

This day is more than just a holiday; it serves as a reminder of Rizal's influence, contributions, and courage in defending his nation. Rizal's actions show us that speaking the truth can have a significant impact and that a single voice, when courageous enough to be heard, can inspire change and even spark a revolution. Long after his footsteps faded, his actions became echoes that time could never silence. His works and sacrifices continue to live in the hearts of the people and in the history of the nation.

INSTITUTE OF INTEGRATED ELECTRICAL ENGINEERS (IIEE), led by Engr. Darwin Alimario and his team, for conducting an Electrical Safety Symposium that equipped our students with valuable knowledge on electrical safety and hazard prevention.

MERALCO SAN PABLO CITY , represented by Ms. Abegail Policarpio and her team, for inspecting our school's electrical system, providing a thorough electrical assessment, and generously offering to install a circuit breaker at the grandstand to further strengthen safety within our school grounds.

LADY EAGLES SAN PABLO , led by President Angie Yang,
for donating five (5) gallons of white paint, which will greatly help in the beautification and improvement of our school facilities.

City Health Office of San Pablo City – Dental Division, led by Dr. Maria Blesilda Reyes, together with Dr. Mary Joy Corcega, Dr. Mariel Joy Escondo, and Dr. Gilda Valeña Brion, for conducting dental check-ups and providing dental kits to our students. Your commitment to our learners’ oral health is truly appreciated.

The Brigada Spirit Lives On at Dizon High! 💙💛

Under the leadership of the dynamic School Principal, Cristeta S. Uy, EdD., together with the newly installed Assistant School Principal, Mr. Nomer C. Manalo, Col. Lauro D. Dizon Memorial Integrated High School officially kicked off the much-awaited Brigada Eskwela 2026.

Guided by the spirit of bayanihan, teachers, students, parents, alumni, and community stakeholders came together to prepare the school for the opening of classes for School Year 2026–2027. Through collective effort and volunteerism, participants worked hand in hand to ensure that the school campus and its surroundings are clean, safe, welcoming, and conducive to learning.

More than a school preparation program, Brigada Eskwela is a testament to the power of unity, shared responsibility, and community partnership in providing every learner with a better environment where they can grow, learn, and succeed.

As the new school year approaches, may the spirit of Brigada Eskwela continue to inspire us to work together, serve wholeheartedly, and build a brighter future for every Dizonian. Tara sa Dizon, Sulong Dizon!
