Meet Chit, one of our former ENZ students whose journey reminds us that sometimes, you have to leave your comfort zone before you discover where you truly belong.
Back in 2016, Chit was a young fresh graduate from the Philippines when he made a bold decision: ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐.
He left what was familiar, moved overseas and pursued studies that eventually led him into the culinary industry as a Chef in Australia.
But his story did not end there.
Years into his Australian journey, Chit discovered a different calling. He decided to change careers and pursue Nursing.
Starting again takes courage, especially when you have already built a career. But he took the risk, invested in another education and worked toward becoming a Nurse in Australia.
Today, he is happily working in nursing.
And in 2026, ten years after taking that first leap of faith, he reached another major milestone: ๐๐พ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ป๐ช๐ต๐ฒ๐ช๐ท ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐ท๐ผ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐น. ๐ฆ๐บ
His journey was never a straight line.
And perhaps that is exactly the point.
At 20 or 21, you donโt need to have your entire life figured out. Sometimes the opportunity comes from being brave enough to start, learn, adapt and discover a passion you never knew you had.
To the fresh graduates, young professionals and career changers reading this: your degree today does not necessarily define the rest of your life.
Go beyond your comfort zone. Invest in yourself. Explore the world. Keep learning. And when your purpose changes, have the courage to change with it.
Congratulations, Chit, on becoming an Australian Citizen. From the young international student who took a chance on Australia in 2016 to the healthcare professional you are today, this milestone has been years in the making.
