WEATHER UPDATE | THREE WEATHER DISTURBANCES MONITORED
PAGASA is monitoring three tropical cyclones outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) as of Saturday afternoon, August 22.
Typhoon Saudel was located 2,555 kilometers east of Northern Luzon, packing maximum sustained winds of 150 km/h and gusts of up to 185 km/h.
Tropical Depression Gaenari was located 660 kilometers north-northeast of Itbayat, Batanes, and is not expected to re-enter the PAR.
Another Tropical Depression was located 1,055 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas. A brief entry into the PAR remains possible.
PAGASA is also monitoring the effects of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), which is bringing cloudy skies, scattered rains, and thunderstorms over parts of Northern Luzon.
Residents are advised to continue monitoring official PAGASA bulletins for possible changes in the weather situation.
