This Microweek, our curious little colony of microbes traded lab coats for hiking shoes 🥾 🥾 and ventured into the wonder-filled trails of Mount Makiling, all the way to Agila Base, where every step felt like wandering through a living petri dish of forest magic!

From spotting fascinating local flora of various colors (and fellow eukaryotic wonders), to snapping group photos at every station, to sharing stories that echoed through the trees; this hike was nothing short of productive, health-forward, and soul-refreshing. 🍃

We capped off our journey at the 11th station with a cozy meal and the most delightfully quirky awarding ceremony, because what? Every microbe deserves their moment to shine! 🎇

A truly whimsical way to appreciate nature, movement, and the marvelous world of mushrooms. 🍄

There may be no use going back to yesterday, but what's worth turning back to is our very mad, very purrfect ᴍɪᴄʀᴏꜱᴏᴄ ᴏᴘᴇɴ ᴛᴀᴍʙᴀʏᴀɴ 2026! ✨️ This tea party🫖 filled with treats🫓🍋 were very much teeming with guests, and like how Alice conquered the Wonderland🏰, we hope you had fun with us on this very special event during our 𝙼𝚒𝚌𝚛𝚘𝚠𝚎𝚎𝚔 2026 💚💛

The exhibit featured the theme 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐲𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞: 𝐀 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 where it focuses on different kinds of fungi with the theme for Alice in Wonderland! 🎊 The Cheshire Cat from the tree purrs 🐾 louder as he hopes that you had a great time experiencing the world of fungi! 🕰️🎩

Last April 29, 𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐏𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: MCB 11 Inter-Laboratory Quiz Contest brought together 30 brilliant teams to showcase their microbiology knowledge and everyone gave it all for the ₱3,000 grand prize!

After three intense rounds, 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝘽𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙪𝙨 𝙟𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙨 emerged as the champions, racking up an impressive 99 points! 🥇👏
