𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐎𝐖 | Hopefuls in Iligan City are currently taking the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) Annual Entrance Examination for the Class of 2030 at the designated testing center. The examination, originally scheduled on an earlier date, was officially rescheduled and is being administered today.

Applicants who pass the examination will advance to the next phases of the admission process.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | A total of 8,472 aspiring midshipmen from 33 designated testing centers nationwide took the Annual Entrance Examination for the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) Class of 2030 on January 31, 2026.

The figure includes 4,838 and 3,634 for registered and walk-in applicants, respectively. The number, however, excludes applicants from Iligan City, where the examination is rescheduled to February 3, 2026.

Cadets and examiners conducted information drive prior to the examination date. The annual entrance examination is part of PMMA’s screening process for admission to the Academy. Applicants who pass the examination will advance to the next phases of evaluation.

𝐀𝐃𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐘 | Online registration through the PMMA Admission portal has officially closed, and online payment for the entrance examination is no longer available.

However, walk-in applicants will be accommodated and payment will be gladly accepted on the day of the examination at all PMMA testing centers nationwide. If you have missed the online registration, you still have the opportunity to apply in person on the day of the exam.

In addition, the release of the Test Permit for the PMMA Annual Entrance Examination (PMMAAEE) will proceed as scheduled on January 15, 2026. For those who opt to walk in, you will receive your Test Permit on the day of the exam.

1. One (1) photocopy of a valid government issued ID or school ID (with 3 wet signatures)
