‎In line with our ongoing active preparations for the upcoming 𝟏𝙎𝙏 𝙂𝙍𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝘼𝙇𝙐𝙈𝙉𝙄 𝙃𝙊𝙈𝙀𝘾𝙊𝙈𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the Supreme Secondary Learner’s Government (SSLG) releases the official attendance record of officers for Day 2 & 3 (𝑴𝒐𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 & 𝑨𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒐𝒐𝒏 sessions).

‎These are phrases we’ve all said a thousand times. From the moment we walk through the door, the first person we look for is 𝑯𝑬𝑹.

‎Today, the Supreme Secondary Learner’s Government honors the incredible women who are the silent engines behind our dreams. We see your sacrifices: the long hours of hard work, the early mornings, and the late nights spent waiting for us to come home. You are the foundation of every goal we achieve. Your love is the ultimate act of service, and your strength is the greatest example of leadership we will ever witness.

‎To our biological moms, the grandmothers who raised us, the aunts who stepped in, and the guardians who choose to love us as their own— 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝒚𝒐𝒖. Thank you for being the person we can always find, even when we feel lost.

Better Late than Never

It never once crossed my mind that I would become an SSLG President. I was hesitant, even reluctant, when the position was first offered to me. Leadership was never something I actively chased. But when no one was willing to take the risk, I chose to step forward anyway.

“Kung walang susubok, walang mangyayari.”

I knew I wasn’t fully ready. I knew I lacked a lot. But I also knew that sometimes, you don’t wait until you’re complete. As Sirius Black once said, “What is life without a little bit of risk?”
I took that risk, and it is one of the decisions I will always be grateful for.

Being a student leader, especially as a President, wasn’t easy at all. It often demands perseverance, dedication, and commitment. Every action carries weight, because leadership is also about influence. You become a role model of the student body, a voice for the unheard, and a bridge between ideas and action.

“Ang pamumuno ay hindi nasusukat sa kapangyarihan, kundi sa paglilingkod.”

Somewhere along the way, I learned to see leadership not as a burden, but as a PRIVILEGE. And in that, I found its beauty.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the people who made this endeavor lighter.

To our ever-supportive SSLG Adviser, Sir Rosly Abis our BAGTIK, TALENTED, KUGIHAN mentor, WAY MAKALABAW! Thank you for always being our backbone in everything.

To Jhared Montero, our VP, kasangga sa lahat ng bagay

To Jirah Frondozo, our secretary handling all the paperworks behind the scene

To Nichole Lopio, our treasurer, for dealing with all the organization's finances

To Sarah Mae Ombo, our auditor, nga never nag audit but still willing to offer herself for the betterment of the org

Thank you for your dedication and teamwork mapa late night to midnight stage decorations, juggling activity preparations, handling academic tasks at the same time, GUYS, WE MADE IT. Ako ay naniniwala at patuloy na maniniwala, “Ang tagumpay ay hindi nakakamit nang mag-isa.”

And to the newly elected SSLG Officers, headed by Ms. Margelyn Embay always remember that leadership is a responsibility entrusted to you by the students. Put your constituents first, lead with humility, and practice discernment in every decision you make.

As I sign off, I do so with a grateful heart. I know that SMNCHS is in good hands.

This journey started with doubt, but it ends with growth, lessons, and gratitude.
