Better Late than Never
It never once crossed my mind that I would become an SSLG President. I was hesitant, even reluctant, when the position was first offered to me. Leadership was never something I actively chased. But when no one was willing to take the risk, I chose to step forward anyway.
โKung walang susubok, walang mangyayari.โ
I knew I wasnโt fully ready. I knew I lacked a lot. But I also knew that sometimes, you donโt wait until youโre complete. As Sirius Black once said, โWhat is life without a little bit of risk?โ
I took that risk, and it is one of the decisions I will always be grateful for.
Being a student leader, especially as a President, wasnโt easy at all. It often demands perseverance, dedication, and commitment. Every action carries weight, because leadership is also about influence. You become a role model of the student body, a voice for the unheard, and a bridge between ideas and action.
โAng pamumuno ay hindi nasusukat sa kapangyarihan, kundi sa paglilingkod.โ
Somewhere along the way, I learned to see leadership not as a burden, but as a PRIVILEGE. And in that, I found its beauty.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the people who made this endeavor lighter.
To our ever-supportive SSLG Adviser, Sir Rosly Abis our BAGTIK, TALENTED, KUGIHAN mentor, WAY MAKALABAW! Thank you for always being our backbone in everything.
To Jhared Montero, our VP, kasangga sa lahat ng bagay
To Jirah Frondozo, our secretary handling all the paperworks behind the scene
To Nichole Lopio, our treasurer, for dealing with all the organization's finances
To Sarah Mae Ombo, our auditor, nga never nag audit but still willing to offer herself for the betterment of the org
To Harren Duero Garao , our PIO and my assistant since day one, maasahan sa lahat ng oras.
To Mckevin Quijada Arreza, our P.O, inday, galibug pud ka ani niya kung PO ba jud siya
And to all our grade level representatives, Hazel Gomeza Duque Luki, Aleicar, AN GE Line, Glyz Eguia, Alexandria, Kyle, Jennica, Tristan Owen Pontijon, Cassandra Vertira, Rose Ann May Finlac and Junalyn, for representing their grade levels with grace and commitment
Thank you so much, everyone.
Thank you for your dedication and teamwork mapa late night to midnight stage decorations, juggling activity preparations, handling academic tasks at the same time, GUYS, WE MADE IT. Ako ay naniniwala at patuloy na maniniwala, โAng tagumpay ay hindi nakakamit nang mag-isa.โ
And to the newly elected SSLG Officers, headed by Ms. Margelyn Embay always remember that leadership is a responsibility entrusted to you by the students. Put your constituents first, lead with humility, and practice discernment in every decision you make.
As I sign off, I do so with a grateful heart. I know that SMNCHS is in good hands.
This journey started with doubt, but it ends with growth, lessons, and gratitude.
Better late than never, indeed.
