Faculty and Staff members from Isabela State University (ISU) San Mateo Campus actively participated in the Advanced Gender Sensitivity and Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG) Application Workshop held on February 12–13, 2025, at ISU Echague Campus. This two-day seminar aimed to enhance the participants' knowledge and skills in integrating gender-sensitive approaches into their academic, research, and extension activities.
During the workshop, attendees gained a deeper understanding of gender sensitivity principles and the application of the HGDG framework in various institutional programs. Key discussions covered essential gender-related laws such as the Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313) and the Magna Carta of Women (RA 9710), emphasizing their relevance in fostering an inclusive and equitable academic environment.
Through interactive sessions and hands-on applications, the participants from ISU San Mateo learned practical strategies to incorporate gender-responsive policies and practices within their respective roles. They expressed their commitment to applying their newfound knowledge in promoting gender equality and development within the campus.
The successful completion of this workshop marks another step in ISU San Mateo’s dedication to upholding gender sensitivity and reinforcing its contributions to gender and development initiatives.
