On August 20, 2026, the Faculty of the Accountancy Department, together with the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) and Junior Philippine Management Accountants (JPMA), successfully held its 2nd CPA Success Talk and Mentoring Session at the Student Center, with the theme “Celebrating Excellence, Inspiring Success: CPA Talk & Mentorship.”

The event was filled with learning, encouragement, and inspiration. Ms. Mylyn C. Agapay, Department Head, welcomed the participants, while Dr. Elysha S. Alvarado, SESS Head, shared an inspiring message that encouraged students to remain determined in pursuing their goals.

The highlight of the program was the inspiring testimony of Ms. Krishia Belle A. Cambalon, CPA, the 2nd SLSU CPA Board Passer for May 2026. She shared the struggles, sacrifices, and strategies behind her success, emphasizing how her faith in God and constant prayer helped her overcome difficult moments and trust in His timing.

The session also featured the recognition of student achievements, mentoring, and an open forum on exam preparation and overcoming challenges. The presence and support of Mr. Danilo S. Escobido, Campus Director, and the Accountancy faculty made the celebration even more meaningful.

The 2nd CPA Success Talk and Mentoring Session was more than a celebration of achievement. It was a reminder that behind every CPA title is a journey filled with hard work, sacrifices, failures, prayers, and the determination to keep moving forward.
