INSET 2026 | DAY 2
The Second Day of the First School-Based In-Service Training for Teachers (INSET 2026) was successfully conducted on September 11, 2026, bringing teachers together for another day of meaningful learning, collaboration, reflection, and professional growth.
The day opened with a Prayer, followed by the Checking of Attendance, and a Recap of the previous day’s learning led by Mrs. Aracelli Villacorta, Master Teacher I. An engaging Energizer prepared by the Kindergarten Teachers then set a lively and positive tone for the day’s activities.
The first learning session, “From Assessment to Action: Empowering Teachers through Data-Driven Teaching and Learning,” was facilitated by Mrs. Armelyn N. Barrera, Education Program Supervisor, Filipino, Curriculum Implementation Division, highlighting the importance of assessment data in making informed instructional decisions and responding to learners’ needs.
This was followed by “Positive Classroom Climate: Creating a Safe and Inclusive Learning Environment,” presented by Ms. Angelica Jeane T. Hansard, Education Program Specialist II, School Governance and Operations Division, emphasizing the importance of cultivating safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments for every learner.
The day culminated in a meaningful Closing Program, featuring an Impression from Ms. Ayla Mariel S. Mercadero, Teacher I, a Challenge from Ms. Esterlina G. Seguan, Master Teacher II, and the Acceptance of the Challenge from Mrs. Esperanza Britanico, Teacher VI. The program concluded with the Awarding of Certificates per Grade Level, recognizing the teachers’ participation and commitment throughout the two-day professional development activity.
Serving as the host for Day 2, Mrs. Maricar D. Hinampas helped guide the program and bring each part of the activity together.
Our sincere appreciation goes to Mr. Dennis M. Bacle, Principal IV and Overall Chairperson, Ms. Esterlina G. Seguan, Master Teacher II and Chairperson, Mr. Royet S. Cayabyab, Master Teacher I, and Mr. Dinnes A. Masubay, Master Teacher I, Co-Chairs, and Ms. Maria Liwayway R. Rosopa, L&D Coordinator and Proponent, for their leadership, initiative, and commitment to the successful implementation of INSET 2026.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the different committees composed of grade leaders and teachers, as well as the non-teaching personnel, for their dedication, cooperation, and invaluable in preparing the venue and the food. Above all, we thank all the teachers for their active participation, enthusiasm, and openness to learning throughout the two-day training.
As INSET 2026 comes to a close, the learning continues beyond the training. The knowledge, strategies, and insights gained over the past two days now serve as a foundation for action, application, and continuous improvement.
May teachers carry forward the commitment to use assessment data purposefully, create safe and inclusive classrooms, embrace innovation, reflect on their practices, and collaborate for meaningful change. Ultimately, the true measure of this professional development lies in how these learnings translate into better teaching practices and improved learner outcomes.
From learning to reflection, from reflection to action—INSET 2026 concludes with a renewed commitment to continuous growth and excellence in teaching and learning.
