en existing for almost 49 years . Ibuna with six classrooms and with a monthly rental of 440 pesos only. While annex II, located few steps accross annez I was owned by a ceratin Mrs. Felicidad Tadina with monthly rental of 185 pesos only . A necessity for this second building came up when the number of pupils tremendously increase for five years after 1958. From then, the schools was handled down by several energetic and dedicated administrators for more decades and become an independent institution in 1963. On March 1982, the construction of New Marcos Prefabricated building was started amounting to one million pesos . Pupils were housed at Pinaglabanan Elementary School Gym for one year and on June 14, 1982 after the construction was completed, the building was occupied on June 25, of the same year under the new administration of former president Joseph Ejercito Estrada. It was a dream come true for the people of the Barangay Onse. It was in September 10, 1989 that certificates of the land titles( 6A-24121 and 6B 241) containing an area of 487 sq. was awarded and registered under the municpality of San Juan. Thge school was rename in honor of the late Mayor of San Juan-Nicanor C. Ibuna.Thus, the existence of Nicanor C. Ibuna Elementary School continous up to present. Looking back, and reminiscing the past with the resourceful and efficient adminstrator, they managed the school well with the full support of our Officer in-charge, Office of the Schools Division Superintendent - Dr. Lydia C. Abeja.. To mention – Ms. Elena E. Ms. Hernanda Santos -2007-2010 and at present Mr. Anselmo B. Joven July 16, 2010 who is designated as Division Coordinator of ALS, ALIVE and Preschool. More so, each administrator of their time left some remarkable improvement in the school to remember. Today NIES has two storey building with nine classrooms and several function rooms available for each learners. Continous improvement of the physical facilities, development programs are being undertaken through the efforts and initiative of the administrator and the local government officials and Mayor Guia G. Gomez. NIES in its mission and vision, aims to preserve its dignity anf uplift the lives of their pupils who entrusted to them through its quality education programs.
