Health Education on Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease and Influenza-Like Illness was successfully conducted at Sta. Cruz Elementary School on October 23, 2025, with valuable insights shared by Dr. Ciara Maicah Rigdao, a Rural Health Physician at the San Jose Super Health Center.

The activity was held in coordination with the Rural Health Unit of San Jose, headed by Dr. Joel A. Sicat, Medical Health Officer, together with Ma’am Selah Grace I. De Guzman, RN, and Sir Glenn Carlo C. Tomas.

Assisting in the session were Ms. Almera Rivera (Midwife) and Mr. Crispin Cabusao (BHW), with the effort and support of our SPTA Officer, Mrs. Tin Valentino, who personally handed the request letter to our MHO.

This health education initiative emphasized the importance of awareness, prevention, and community collaboration in protecting our learners, teachers, and parents from communicable diseases. Truly, good health builds the foundation for meaningful learning.

Sta. Cruz Elementary School, headed by Dr. Liza C. Gonzales, is truly grateful for the meaningful health education conducted and the continued support of our health partners.
