Easternians Gain Vital Skills in Disaster Preparedness

On August 16, 2026, eight students and one teacher actively joined the Basic Life Support and Standard First Aid Training held at the Municipal Evacuation Center, Sta. Maria, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao.

The training was conducted by the Alfonso Lista Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Service (MDRRMS), equipping participants with essential skills in emergency response, first aid procedures, and life-saving techniques.

Ang Pambansang Komisyon para sa Kultura at mga Sining ay nakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa na may temang “𝐖𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐈: 𝐊𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐬𝐢𝐤 𝐚𝐭 𝐓𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐚 𝐘𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐲𝐨𝐧.”

Kinikilala ng tema ng Buwan ng Wika 2026 ang magkaugnay na papel ng wikang Filipino at artificial intelligence (AI) para sa makabansang gawain ng pananaliksik. Panawagan ito para sa responsableng paggamit ng AI habang tinitiyak na may makabuluhang espasyo ang Wikang Pambansa sa mga usaping may kinalaman sa mga umuusbong na teknolohiya at kaugnay na usaping pang-etika rito.

Ang Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa ay idinaraos tuwing Buwan ng Agosto alinsunod sa Proklamasyon Blg. 1041 na nilagdaan noong 1997.
