Mental Health Awareness Month, Isinusulong Tuwing Setyembre

Tuwing Setyembre, isinusulong ang Mental Health Awareness Month upang palawakin ang kaalaman ng publiko tungkol sa kalusugang pangkaisipan at mabawasan ang negatibong pananaw laban sa mga taong nakararanas ng mental health challenges.

Layunin nito na hikayatin ang bawat mamamayan na suportahan at tulungan ang mga taong may kinakaharap na suliranin sa mental health.

Sa pamamagitan ng pagtuturo, pakikinig, at pagbibigay ng suporta, mas napapatibay ang relasyon ng bawat isa at mas napapalakas ang kamalayan tungkol sa mental health.

Every 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟯𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the Philippines celebrates 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 to honor the Filipinos whose courage, sacrifice, and dedication helped shape our nation.

Today, we honor the life and sacrifice of 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼 “𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘆” 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗝𝗿., a former Philippine senator whose fight for democracy inspired many Filipinos.

𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘆 𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗗𝗮𝘆 is celebrated annually on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 21 as a 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 to commemorate his assassination on August 21, 1983. Ninoy was the husband of Corazon “Cory” Aquino, who later became the 11th President of the Philippines.

𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲
| 𝑳𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒓𝒚

The exam ended the moment our teacher said, "Time's up!"

Or so we thought.

The real test began when the papers came back.

Rows of numbers became quiet competitions. Some wore their scores with pride, others hid theirs beneath trembling hands. And somewhere there are whispers of "What did you get?" and "I got higher," looking at them makes me think that effort was slowly replaced by arithmetic.

Then there was a student who had reviewed until sleep became a stranger, who filled pages with notes, erased mistakes, and learned every lesson with patience.

Beside them sat another who placed more faith in wandering eyes and answers discreetly etched onto their skin than in countless nights of preparation. When the papers were returned, it was the latter whose score stood higher, while diligence remained unrewarded.

For a moment, honesty looked like failure.

But exams have always been limited. They can tell who wrote the right answer, not who earned it. They can record a score, but never the integrity behind every mark.

Perhaps that is the flaw of an answer sheet.

It remembers every correct response—yet forgets the story of how each answer came to be.

Marcos, Inilahad ang mga Hakbang ng Pamahalaan sa SONA 2026

Inilatag ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang mga pangunahing hakbang ng pamahalaan sa kanyang ikalimang SONA noong Hulyo 27, 2026, sa Batasang Pambansa Complex, Quezon City.

Binigyang-diin ni Pangulong Marcos ang mga gagawin upang matugunan ang mga hamon ng bansa. Kabilang dito ang mga problema sa flood control, pagtaas ng presyo ng mga bilihin, at iba pang usaping pang-ekonomiya.

Nakatuon ang mga hakbang na inilahad ng Pangulo sa pagtugon sa mga pangunahing pangangailangan ng mga Pilipino.

Angat Dam Water Level Rises After Heavy Rainfall

MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan — Nearly three weeks of heavy rainfall brought by Tropical Cyclones Maymay and Luis, along with the Southwest Monsoon, caused the water level of Angat Dam to rise, bringing it back to its minimum operating level of 180 meters above sea level (masl) on Friday, August 14.

According to the latest report from the Bulacan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), the reservoir’s water level was recorded at 179.85 masl at 6 a.m. and rose to 180.37 masl by 11 a.m.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) continues to monitor the reservoir’s water level and coordinate with concerned water agencies to help manage the water supply for communities.
