ATTENTION CATALINIANS!

In line with the celebration of the National Science Month this September, the Science Department along with the Science Club will conduct the following activities:
(a) Poster Making Contest
(b) Quiz Bee

POSTER MAKING
1. There should only be one (1) representative/participant per section for all grade levels (from JHS and SHS). One (1) entry per participant only.
2. Participants must bring their own 1/8 illustration board, marker, pencil, and coloring materials.
3. The school gymnasium will be used as venue for the poster making contest.

QUIZ BEE
1. Participants for the science quiz bee shall be students from grade 7 to grade 12. Students shall form a team with 3 members to which there should only be 1 member coming from grade 7 & 8, grade 9 & 10, and grade 11 & 12.
2. The science quiz bee shall cover all general questions across all sciences taught from the first quarter period from grades 7 – 12.
3. There will be three (3) rounds of different difficulties – Easy, Average, and Difficult respectively.

Should you have any further questions, please coordinate with your science teachers, and/or the science club.

Our Cosmic Neighbors- Logarithmic representation of the Milky Way Galaxy from Earth's perspective.

Notable astronomical objects are annotated. Distance from Earth increases exponentially from center to edge. Celestial bodies were enlarged to appreciate their shapes.

According to Presidential Proclamation No. 264, s. 2002, we celebrate the "National Science Club Month" every September of the year. This has been proclaimed last September 23, 2002 by the 14th President of the Republic of the Philippines, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
