Lorenzo C. Tanza Memorial National High School proudly welcomed the Cebu Provincial Division TECH PRO Benchmarking 2026 today, July 3, 2026, led by Dr. Jose Garry R. Napoles, Division Education Program Supervisor for EPP/TLE/TVL/JDVP, together with distinguished division supervisors and guests from across the province.

The delegation was warmly received by the school community and officially welcomed through the vibrant performance of "One Enchanting Camotes" by the LCT Dance Dynasty, showcasing the rich culture and hospitality of the Camotes Islands.

Following the welcome dance, the visitors were given a guided tour of the school's TECH PRO facilities by selected TVL-AFA and ICT students, who confidently demonstrated the school's programs, projects, and learning environments.

Among the highlights of the benchmarking visit were Computer Laboratories 1 and 2, the TVL Lecture Room, AFA Laboratories, and various Agricultural Demonstration Areas, including the nursery, composting area, native chicken production, tilapia production, and herbs and spices garden. These facilities reflect the school's commitment to providing quality, hands-on, competency-based learning experiences for its learners.

Beyond the TECH PRO facilities, the visitors also explored the School Clinic, where they were introduced to the health services available to students, including vital signs and blood pressure monitoring. They likewise visited the School Learning Resource Center, which serves as a hub for reading, research, digital learning, and academic support, promoting literacy and lifelong learning among Lorenzians.

The TECH PRO Benchmarking 2026 served as an excellent avenue for sharing best practices, strengthening partnerships, and promoting innovation in Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) education. It also reaffirmed LCTMNHS' commitment to delivering relevant, industry-responsive, and learner-centered education.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this meaningful eventโ€”the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), LCT Dance Dynasty, selected TVL-AFA and ICT students, SSLG officers, the teaching and non-teaching personnel, and most especially our dedicated TVL teachers, whose passion and hard work made this benchmarking visit truly memorable.

Lorenzo C. Tanza Memorial National High School beams with pride as we celebrate the successful validation of our Outstanding Teachers for School Year 2025โ€“2026.

The validation was conducted on June 29, 2026, at Camotes Tourist Inn, Himensulan, San Francisco, Cebu, by the Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDS) and School Heads of the DepEd Camotes Area. The activity recognized educators who have demonstrated excellence in teaching, leadership, and commitment to quality education.

A total of nineteen (19) teachers from LCTMNHS successfully underwent the PMES validation process, reflecting their professionalism, competence, and passion for providing meaningful learning experiences to every learner.

Today, June 26, 2026, Lorenzo C. Tanza Memorial National High School (LCTMNHS) joined the observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT) through an awareness program held at the school grounds, reaffirming its commitment to promoting a safe, healthy, and drug-free learning environment.

The activity was spearheaded by the Barangay Union Council under the leadership of BADAC Chairman and Punong Barangay of Brgy Union, Hon. Raffy A. Formentera, in partnership with the school. The program aimed to raise awareness among learners about the harmful effects of illegal drugs, prevent substance abuse, and encourage every student to make responsible and informed life choices.

Present during the activity were Hon. Raffy A. Formentera, Hon. Apple Grace A. Gocela, Hon. Maria Angelor M. Lucernas, Hon. Aliena D. Lucernas, Ms. Cheryl C. Lucernas, members of the Barangay Union BPSO and BNS, the LCTMNHS faculty and staff, and the Lorenzians.

In his message, Hon. Formentera encouraged the students to actively support the initiatives of the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC), stay away from illegal drugs, and heed the guidance and advice of their parents and teachers in making wise decisions. He also emphasized the enduring words of Dr. Jose P. Rizal, โ€œAng kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan,โ€ reminding the learners that they play a vital role in shaping a brighter and stronger future for the nation.

On behalf of the entire school community, School-In-Charge Sir Raven Draneth L. Teleron expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Barangay Union Council for initiating the program and for its unwavering support in strengthening the school's campaign against illegal drugs through education, awareness, and community partnership.

As part of its commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and conducive learning environment, Lorenzo C. Tanza Memorial National High School (LCTMNHS) conducted an early morning bag inspection on June 25, 2026.

The activity aimed to strengthen campus safety measures and promote the well-being of all learners, especially in light of recent incidents that have raised concerns regarding student safety. Through proactive and preventive efforts, the school continues to ensure that every learner can study in an environment that is protected and conducive to learning.

The bag inspection was led by the school's security guard in coordination with the Barangay Union BPSO, who diligently carried out the safety checks upon students' arrival.

LCTMNHS extends its appreciation to all students for their cooperation, understanding, and adherence to school safety protocols. Such collective efforts contribute significantly to fostering a culture of discipline, responsibility, and vigilance within the school community.
