Teaching interns from Pangasinan State University - San Carlos City Campus joined the University-Wide Practice Teaching Exit Conference and Student-Teacher Congress 2026 held on June 17, 2026, via Zoom and the official PSU page.

Carrying the theme “Teach with Passion: Leaving a Legacy through Education,” the activity brought together teaching interns, internship coordinators, deans, faculty members, and university officials from across the PSU System for a culmination program highlighting internship experiences, professional growth, and best practices in teacher education.

Representing the San Carlos City Campus were Dr. Creleah R. Menor, Teaching Internship Coordinator, together with the campus teaching interns. The delegation was supported by Dr. Shirley L. Milanes, Dean of the College of Teacher Education, and Campus Executive Director Dr. Gudelia M. Samson.

The program featured keynote presentations from distinguished leaders in education and professional regulation. Dr. Mariano U. Soriano Jr., CESO VI, Schools Division Superintendent of the Schools Division Office of Dagupan City, discussed the topic “Teach with Passion: Leaving a Legacy through Education”

Meanwhile, Atty. Arl Ruth B. Sacay-Sabelo, Regional Director of the Professional Regulation Commission Regional Office I, was ably represented by Dr. Rosa Victoria C. Quinto, Supervising Professional Regulation Officer of the Licensure and Registration Division, who delivered a presentation on “PRC Guidelines and Requirements for LET.”

Both keynote sessions were followed by open forums where participants from various campuses raised questions and exchanged insights with the speakers. The discussions provided teaching interns with valuable perspectives on educational leadership, professional standards, innovation, and emerging directions in the teaching profession.

A highlight of the activity was the recognition of outstanding student teachers and recipients of the Best Classroom-Based Action Research awards across the university system. The event also served as a venue for teaching interns to reflect on their field experiences, share best practices, and celebrate the completion of their practice teaching journey.

The successful conduct of the university-wide conference was spearheaded by Dr. Erna M. Salazar, Director for Internship, who served as the lead organizer of the event. Assisting her were the Teaching Internship Coordinators from the different PSU campuses, including Dr. Creleah R. Menor of the San Carlos City Campus.

The activity provided student teachers with an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments, learn from education leaders, and gain insights that will guide them as they transition from internship to professional practice.

The 𝑩𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑬𝒍𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑬𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 (𝑩𝑬𝑬𝒅) 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 from Sections 𝟏-𝐀, 𝟏-𝐁, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟏-𝐂 successfully conducted their 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦-𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐆𝐄 𝟏𝟎𝟑: 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬.

The activity allowed the students to apply their 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 and 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 their developing teaching skills through 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀, and 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀. It also gave them valuable experience in lesson delivery, classroom management, and learner participation.

More than just a course requirement, the teaching demonstration served as an opportunity for the future educators to build confidence, strengthen their communication skills, and gain practical experience in the teaching profession.

The success of this activity was made possible through the guidance and support of 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙧 𝙋𝙖𝙪𝙡𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙚 𝙙𝙚 𝙑𝙚𝙧𝙖 and 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙧 𝙃𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙭 𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙈. 𝘿𝙚 𝙑𝙚𝙧𝙖, whose encouragement and expertise helped the students perform their best throughout the demonstration.

On March 06, 2026, the 𝑩𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑬𝒍𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑬𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 (𝑩𝑬𝑬𝒅) 2-𝑨 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 successfully conducted their Classroom-Based Teaching Demonstration in EGE 110: Technology for Teaching in the Elementary Grades

Through engaging lessons, interactive activities, and innovative teaching strategies, the students showcased their skills in delivering meaningful learning experiences. Their teaching demonstrations highlighted the importance of fostering critical thinking, creativity, and a love for learning among elementary pupils.

This activity served as a valuable opportunity for the student teachers to strengthen their pedagogical competencies and gain hands-on experience in facilitating learner-centered instruction.

A special appreciation goes to Professor Mary Anne Kimper U. Cabueños for their guidance, support, and valuable insights that contributed to the success of this learning experience.

Pangasinan State University - San Carlos City Campus officials, faculty members, and educators were among the distinguished awardees recognized during the 2nd Gawad Pamana ng Pluma International held on May 31, 2026, at the Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza, Baguio City, Philippines.

The event served as a convergence of authors, academic leaders, government officials, and representatives from various civic and professional organizations, spearheaded by ME Publications, ASSETT of the Philippines, Inc., and KAFAMPI, to recognize exemplary contributions in leadership, education, literature, and public service.

Leading the roster of awardees was University President Dr. Elbert M. Galas, who was conferred the Gawad Tanglaw ng Akademya and the Gawad Sulo ng Pamumuno, awards bestowed upon individuals who have demonstrated excellence in educational leadership and supervision.

Also receiving recognition were several dignitaries and faculty members from the San Carlos City Campus.

Awarded the Gawad Sulo ng Pamumuno were Dr. Lorena B. Echalar, Dr. Shirley L. Milanes, Dr. Josephine D. Reyes, Dr. Ronie B. Soriano, and Dr. Creleah R. Menor.

For literary excellence, Dr. Myra C. Catungal received the Gawad Tugatog sa Akdang Tuluyan together with the secondary award Makata ng Linggo. Dr. Cristina L. Javier was honored with the Gawad Tugatog sa Panulaan and Makata ng Linggo, while Dr. Shirley L. Milanes likewise received the Gawad Tugatog sa Panulaan.

Meanwhile, Dr. Mary Ann R. Dalaten, Ms. Sarah Mae Z. Ballesteros, and Mr. Bobby B. Dela Cruz were conferred the Gawad Tugatog sa Akdang Tuluyan (Sanaysay) together with the secondary distinction Mananaysay ng Linggo.

Also recognized were Ms. Lenibabes A. Doria and Jasmine Joy S. Aquino, recipients of the Gawad Tugatog sa Panulaan, both earning the secondary distinction Makata ng Linggo.

The recognition of PSU officials, educators, and writers reflects the continuing presence of the university in academic leadership, literary scholarship, and public service, bringing honor not only to the San Carlos City Campus but to the entire Pangasinan State University System.

The achievement further adds to the growing list of recognitions earned by PSU educators and leaders, reinforcing the university's standing as a center for academic excellence, leadership, and literary advancement, truly and proudly the .
