| SSU- Institutional Human Research Ethics Committee (IHREC) Opens Ethical Review Services to External Researchers the office has expanded its services to accommodate researchers beyond the university, now officially accepting research protocols from external proponents.

As a Level 1 accredited Research Ethics Committee recognized by the Philippine Health Research Ethics Board, SSU-IHREC ensures that all reviews are conducted within its approved scope, upholding ethical standards in human research.

The first cycle of ethical review for external research protocols is scheduled on June 10, 2026, with the submission cut-off set on May 27, 2026.
