Samal Island City College successfully hosted JOB FAIR 2026, held at the College Auditorium, in partnership with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) of the Island Garden City of Samal.
Anchored on the theme, "Confluence 2026: Where Peak Talent Meets Premier Opportunities," the event gathered more than 400 participants, composed primarily of graduating students and job seekers, who took advantage of the opportunity to connect with leading employers and industry professionals. The Job Fair served as a dynamic platform for career exploration, on-the-spot recruitment, and professional networking, enabling participants to engage directly with Human Resource representatives and gain access to a wide range of employment opportunities.
Simultaneously, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), represented by Ms. Milagios Tan (LEO III), Ms. Lea Callejo (LEO III), and Ms. Kresta Mae Jumapit (LEO I), conducted an orientation at the College Gymnasium during the Graduation Briefing for all fourth-year graduating students. The activity, organized by the Registrar's Office under the leadership of Maritoni Tejano-Amora, LPT, equipped future graduates with essential information on overseas employment opportunities, workers' rights and welfare, ethical recruitment practices, and the various programs and services offered by the Department of Migrant Workers.
