Hazard Assessment – Brgy. Sabang Dos, Allen, Northern Samar
Key Hazards: Flooding • Landslides • Vehicular Accidents
As part of our community disaster preparedness, here’s a quick assessment of common hazards in our area and how we can reduce their impact:
🌧️ FLOODING
Risk Level: Moderate to High
Due to low-lying terrain and heavy rains during typhoon season, parts of Sabang Dos are prone to flooding.
✅ Tips: Clear drainage, elevate belongings, know your evacuation center.
🪨 LANDSLIDES
Risk Level: Low to Moderate
While not mountainous, roadside slopes and rain-saturated soil still pose a risk after heavy downpours.
✅ Tips: Avoid building near slopes; report ground cracks or movement.
🚗 VEHICULAR ACCIDENTS
Risk Level: Moderate
Mixed traffic, poor lighting, and slippery roads during rain increase the chance of accidents.
✅ Tips: Follow road safety rules, slow down near schools, improve visibility.
